So I've dragged my broken, scarred, nearly-lifeless body from the clusterfuck that was accidentally advancing through the wrong door on Nar Shaddaa, and now I have a bunch of brand new, shiny companions!
My favourite off these is HK-47, since we have a history. I played KOTOR back in the day, but this is my first full playthrough of the sequel, and I'm having some problems being "friends" with everybody. I can definitely see there are benefits to having high influence with everyone, but I've also noticed that there are some compatibility problems.
I'm working on HK now, and since I was 100% light side, I can take some DS hits to make him happy and stay above 75%. However, I'm noticing that when I find a dialogue choice that improves his influence, T3's influence goes down.
I don't know if the mechanics work that influence becomes fixed if you max it. If so, it's easy enough to max all the LS characters, then go through the dark side ones. If not, then I'll have to make some sacrifices probably.
I actually don't know what happens from low influence. Is it like DA:I where they leave? Or like DA 2, where they hate-fuck you for combat bonuses?

Both positive and negative Influence unlocks the bonus dialogue, the key is to max either. If you want companions to follow your side of the Force, however, positive Influence will be required

It’s easy to max their influence you just have to do and say things they agree with. For example with Atton you have to trust him. HK you have to do evil acts and treat him like dirt. Hangar you have to break him. Just pay close attention to their personalities.
