I'm sure most of you know that there's two variations of Ashley's drunk scene. The infamous fire alarm one and another one where shepard asks Ashley why she didn't invite him to the drinking party..to which she'll say she prefers to embarrass herself in private. Shepard responds with a deadpan " mission accomplished Lieutenant" it ends with Shepard proclaiming his love for sarcasm. I've only ever seen the second variation on YouTube. It's always the fire alarm one when I actually play the scene and I'm wondering what triggers the difference? I greatly prefer the second variation so any help would be much appreciated.

I THINK (not 100% sure about it though) it's how you treat Ash and if she's Shepard love interest. A slightly more snarky romantic male Shepard seems more likely to say the line about why Ash didn't invite him to a drinking party. Or maybe it's the other option on dialogue wheel.
