What are some easy Gold builds for a beginner? I find that my ME3 MP experience is irrelevant, and most characters are very weak. The only one I can reliably deal damage with and not die too much is the basic human soldier (with PAW, obviously). Even Turian Soldier with his damage reduction power doesn't work as well for some reason. Krogan are weak (both in the survivability and the melee damage departments), Angara Avenger can't hold a candle to N7 Shadow etc. Human Vanguard might be OK with a solid shotgun and weapon damage bonuses. I never played weapon Vanuard in ME3, it was always Novaguard with full power damage bonuses, and that doesn't seem to work in ME:A either (Nova's damage is pitiful).
What builds should I try to get more experience with different playstyles and not be useless to my team?

I thought the same about me3mp, but then again I played endured it like 23 hours max.. Anyway, for me very hard to say. Its been so long time and when I started my second account I could already do everything with Avenger&Soldier on Platinum  The one thing for me was: Speed. The speed matters here when moving, using powers combined etc. |

I know, it's mostly a problem with the user and not the game, it's clear from the fact I struggle getting above the 3rd place. Which is why I wonder which characters I should learn first. Right now they're all hard, except for shotgun human Vanguard and human Soldier.

The veteren bonuses makes powers/combos/melee quite nasty. I play from time to time, might be worth trying the discord server linked in my signature. Maybe I'll help you grind. which characters I should learn first Human Sentinel is good for all combos. Infiltrator for teamplay and spike damage. Soldier for sustained damage debuff. Engineer for cryonuking spawns. Vangaurd for combos and melee. Adept for.... hmmmm..... I suppose it can debuff an area with singularity. |

Not the fastest, but the most reliable. I do have a solo playlist too, and I suck at the game so If i can do it, so can you. Human Juggernaut with any full-auto gun. You get DR for damaging, 1.5 seconds of Iframes for killing, Fortify for more tankiness and Snap Freeze for debuff. Don't use shockwave. You're still at the mercy of objectives though sadly. So an alternative might be an infiltrator class.

I preffered Batarian Vanguard for Soloing tbh. Yeah, I dont intend to solo  That's fair. But I guess to ellaborate. Flak Cannon (which shreds through shields) and Vortex Evo on Annihilation will pacify red bars in close range.

Did you ever do the Havoc Divebomb build solo? I did on Gold. She was not very effective, IMO. She would not survive a Platinum solo. Jump melee just not strong enough.
