SWTOR is now 3th Party and Bioware focus on ME & DA or Bioware Austin no more?

If SWTOR was to shut down in 0.5-1.5 years, they wouldn't have done the recent work on it in ways of longer term sustainability, or handed it off. Those things tend to imply expecting it to run (and sell its cosmetics) for a few to several more years.

What's far more in question to me is how much will be developed. This now ranges from pure maintenance mode, to recycled events, to new events and minor, unvoiced content, to a lot of content but very little of it is main story, to being just as much as recent Bioware-SWTOR, to actually being a little more, with a development team that's leaner but can be allowed to be much more focused on content production (this is unlikely, but its actually not unheard of with a new owner).

What's the very least, is that we're not getting more Blur trailers, or bigger overhauls to the design direction of SWTOR, any time soon or ever. Even if some bigger features ever happen, it'll be after a lengthy transition period or its stuff that's already far into the works. We can't expect anything great, but to be honest, we couldn't in the last few (and arguably several) years under Bioware/EA.

I have some mild hopes compared to you ergates, but its very mild, and having seen a variety of outcomes for situations like this, I'd also fully brace for a shutdown within a couple years, after a near total stagnation by devs that can't or aren't allowed to do anything nice anymore, compared to the earlier pattern of doing a few nice things once in a while. But we should acknowledge the best possibilities; a potentially unshackled dev team that isn't made to be as much of a cash shop milker, while still being profitable enough to support a lot of content development (I'm skeptical about the extent of voice acting, if any).
