Download Link; www.reddit.com/r/MECoOp/comments/g7lqix/removing_the_geth_scanner_overlay/I used ME3Tweaks Mod Manager (by MGamerz). Go to Tools in Mod Manager > Select ALOT Installer > Once ALOT is installed and up and running, select Free Mode, then drag Clean Hunter Mode HUD v1.0A file at that download link over ALOT app. Select Clean Hunter Mode HUD v1.0A. Click Install Textures. Turn off all other selections and click Begin Installatons. Enjoy.

I don't see the overlay anyway, my brain just learned to ignore it. Like those elves in Berserk, people see them with their eyes but their brains refuse to acknowledge that something is there.

I don't see the overlay anyway, my brain just learned to ignore it. Like those elves in Berserk, people see them with their eyes but their brains refuse to acknowledge that something is there. Same. But these days with HDR TVs (or minitors), turning off that overlay surprisingly does a lot to remove the extra brightness. This is what I was originally after with the Geth Scanner removal mod. Didn't entirely remove all the exta brightness (as that filter is still on. Which not only changes the color and/or brightness, but also adds a blur to the image), but did much more then I expected.
