Happy B-Day BSN

I think i originally joined bsn sometime in 2010 or 2011, between me2 and me3 releases. Or was it still called Bioware Forums at that time? Had something in the range of <1> extremely stupid posts and then went back into hiding again.
Then i came out of hiding in 2012, to vent frustration about the me3 ending

Since then i've been stuck here, mostly lurking in the mass effect sections

I joined (under another nick) the original Bioware forum at the time that Mass Effect and Dragon Age were both in development. I can't remember the year, though. That forum was a lot of fun. At the time the devs loved their work and that showed by their user interaction. Alas, over the years that slowly changed. But enough of that. This forum brings back the good times!

I think you are correct. That was the forum I joined, after Mass Effect's development was announced. Then people told me that I may like Dragon Age too. That one was also in development at the time.

That forum had a (mostly dark) blue theme, IIRC. There the doctors and their crew joined the conversations too. Good times.

I am not sure, but I think we are talking about the same forum. There may be a user today here, who may have a better memory than me. I think fchopin may remember those days too.

From that time I also remember a mod, who I think was a walking encyclopedia of BioWare games. She quit sometime after the introduction of the original BSN (the one with the brown theme). I kept contact with her for a while. I can't remember her nick anymore. I still remember her real first name, though. She was awesome and incredibly kind.

Edit: I just found her nick! It was still in my email address book. Ghehe. Her name was Seagloom!

I found the dark blue forum, which I was talking about, in the archive.

A snapshot from 2007.

The main forums were indeed dark blue (including Dragon Age) and Mass Effect was light blue. ME would be released a month later.

Those forums were ugly in those days.

Edit 1: Be patient. The internet archive is slow.

Edit 2: If you go to the Dragon Age forum, you'll see an ad for the Witcher in the left column with the heading "Bioware recommends". Cool! Competition was more friendly in those days.

Edit 3: The recommendation for the Witcher from Bioware made sense, because they used a (heavily modified) Bioware games engine and DA wasn't released yet. Later Witcher games used their own CDPR engine.
