Always loved Samara's recruitment mission both gameplay-wise and setting-wise. Tali's is interesting because of Haestrom, and Thane's is one of the more enjoyable ones for gameplay.

Not liking ME2 much these days anymore, most/all of the missions are just really shooting and whole game has down pulling feeling, but I'd say its Thane. As much as I dont like the character, the Dantius Towers is nicely done.

Oh, this is a hard pick for me. I like all of those missions, at the same time each of them has some part that i don't like at all.
What i like is when there are actual allies or involved non combatants around, so its not just going from combat area to combat area. I had to choose Tali's mission first, followed by Samara > Garrus > Mordin. Haestrom has Kal Reegar, who actually (can) help out, and the initial expectations to see more quarian allies wins over the rather static space port police and visitors in that area of Nos Astra.

Hard. I like all, Tali's and legions less. Maybe Grunt because of the interactions, comments, me1 connections. Level looks gray and dull but has a lot of sniper combat which I like. Honestly depends sometimes its Garus or mordin

Have been playing through the trilogy again and yeah, gotta say Thane's. So many things I like about it: the music, the encounters which offer you nice RP options, the tie-in to the previous game (Nassana), the atmospheric buildup/reveal (which does not suffer from the cutscene curse e.g. Jack).
Samara's is second favorite just because of BIOTIC GOD. Well, more seriously Tali's is probably my second favorite but it lacks those RP moments I enjoy in Thane's.

I'm surprised Thane didn't win. Interesting.

I chose Samara's recruitment mission. I play on Insanity, so I have the basic upgrades by that point and there is a good variety of enemy protections (shields, armor, and barrier) which makes it interesting. The gunship battle is the only really mid part of the mission (bullet sponge), but the final fight is great since I always like to try to kill Wasaea before she has a chance to move the fight into the second area.
Garrus's recruitment could be fun -- you fight all three merc groups -- but it happens early and I just do not have the upgrades I really need by that point to make it more fun, namely no armor/shield/barrier damage upgrades for most weapons yet. Most of the early recruitment missions have that problem. That makes it even harder for NG+ when enemies are already at max strength.
Post-Horizon you should have all the basic upgrades you need but only three recruitment missions are left: Thane, Samara, and Tali. Tali's recruitment mission is really fun if you have AI Hacking.
Oh crap, I feel like I am talking myself into another Engineer run (I really need to do another Puppet Master Engineer playthrough) but I have not finished all my current trilogy playthroughs yet.

Saw some people visited my thread. My opinion is still (although I didn't explicitly state it the first time) Samara's > Thane's > Tali's > the rest in some order. I only wish Samara's was longer; Thane's has an edge in that regard.
Puppet Master Engineer is good for Thane's and Samara's as well, and arguably better on those than on Tali's. Engineer isn't one of my preferred classes, but I had my most (or close to it) lol-worthy run of Thane's recruitment mission with a Puppet Master. A nice ratio of AI-Organic enemies is one of quite a few reasons as to why the Illium missions, including Miranda's loyalty mission, are among my favorites. They're certainly well-suited for Engineers. If more of the game was designed that way, Engineer might rank higher for me.

Don't know if I have a favorite, Tali's has unique gameplay challenges with touch of nostalgia, Garrus has a great reveal, and with Legion's we have his reveal and we are actually in a reaper.
