Hmm...what do you have ticked/selected in terms of notifications?
I turned off everything except 'tagged' and 'liked' posts. Someone you follow is online? Someone posted in a thread you poste in? Someone quoted you? All got to be too much.
Other than that, I can't see how your profile would possibly affect it. Unless it is the forum background image file?

I had most of the notifications turned on, so I'll try turning most of them off and see if it helps. I'm also messing with some other settings to see if they help. The background image doesn't appear to affect things one way or the other. I've had it set to plain grey for a while now.

The forum was gone 20 minutes ago with an error code 300. Soon after that an error 410. Everything works again now.  |

The search function was messed up and extremely slow today. It took forever to show results. Sometimes the site produced and error message, like: "JS Error: TypeError: t.response is undefined".
My browser wasn't happy either during the search and asked me several times to terminate the script.
