Just started a new playthrough on Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition. I read in some threads that Ammunition Upgrades continually drop at VII when you reach a certain level, but do Barrel Upgrades continually drop, specifically Rail Extension VII? If so, do merchants that sell upgrades ever have Rail Extensions in stock?

If so, do merchants that sell upgrades ever have Rail Extensions in stock? as far i know you can still miss Rail Extension VII in ME1 LE but at higher levels that upgrade is called differently (Scram Rail) and can be looted normaly from crates or bought from vendors.

Thanks for the reply. Finally got around to testing the drops myself. If anyone is looking to min/max damage with barrels, you should start searching for Rail Extensions VII between levels 37-42, using classic mode. Best to go to uncharted worlds and save before opening crashed probes or debris that drop upgrades, then repeat once you receive your item of choice. Geth also have a chance to drop Rail Extensions. Geth incursions is a great mission to farm Rail Extensions.
