Hello! I bought MELE on Steam (again, must be my 10th version of the MET by now) on Steam during the last sale with the intention to play it on the Steam Deck. I set it up with mods, so I figured, I'd post my process here, in case it helps people. First of all, if you have MELE on the EA App, there is no real need to buy it on Steam again, other than some convenience. The Steam version will basically just start up the EA App and it is still required to launch the game. This also means you will need an internet connection to play (unfortunately). But anyway, back to modding: I used this very nice guide to set up ME3Tweaks Mod Manager on Linux. In the guide, it says that you need to use version 8.1 of ME3TMM, because installing 8.2 doesn't work. I cannot tell you if this is still accurate, you may be ok with using 8.2.3 or later by now. But I did proceed with caution and used 8.1 for the install and configuration, as described in the guide. Version 8.1 is no longer on the Nexus, so check ME3TMM's guthub page to find it. Now, there is one problem: Many of the newer (or recently updated) mods on Nexus will need version 8.2 or later to be installed. Therefore, I did try and update ME3TMM with the in-program update feature, after finishing all the configuration. It worked! I am currently running 8.2.3 this way in Lutris. So yeah, that's why I am saying, maybe you can install 8.2.3 (or whatever is the latest version by the time you read this) from the get-go but if not, installing 8.1 and then updating in the app itself should definitely work. Do note that on the Nexus page of ME3TMM, it specifically says that they do not support Linux, so if you run into trouble, probably better to ask here or on the Steam forums for help, rather than bothering the tool devs on Nexus. Anyway, once all of that is done, you can simply download and install mods as you would in windows. I have installed multiple mods for all three MELE games this way and had no trouble so far. If you want to use texture mods like ALOT, you will need to use MassEffectModder (MEM). Fortunately, MEM has a native Linux version, so it shouldn't give you nay trouble. I haven't modded any textures yet because they cost a lot of disc space and I don't really need them on the small display anyway but if you want to go for it, it should go fairly smoothly with MEM for Linux. Anyway, hope this post might help some folks. Good luck and have fun!
