Original 2007 ME1 Citadel and Wards music loops after about 10 seconds of no music issue

Decided to play original 2007 Mass Effect because it has the better colour tones and such. Especially with ALOT textures & MEUITM & MEUITM reshade mods. Looks really good. However on the citadel and wards the music doesn't loop right away. Regardless if I have the game in vanilla mode without mods or with mods. Even tried to hardware and software sound setup from option menu. And in tinkered with settings in BioEngine.ini. 

Never had this issue before EA app, so wondering if this bug was introduced with EA app? Anyone else exepreince this issue? Looking for a fix or suggestions.
