Space Heroes and Super Spies: The Miranda Lawson Thread

Recently I used the JohnP's Alternate MEHEM, and that is my ending. Way better than the original MEHEM too, which was too cheesy.

I'll bite.

What are the differences? I didn't really keep track of the versions.

I always liked this image, with it conveying a sense of vulnerability between the two which is something that is otherwise unstated. Shepard and Miranda don't like being vulnerable, without their respective defenses up. Miranda in particular has her growing dependability on her relationship with Shepard to keep her going in ME3, I feel. I think it's simply unstated for Shepard, but it's definitely there as well.

This image captures what that moment of vulnerability and dependence on each other that they both would feel.

See, I hated that forced characterization. My Shepard would not have had such issues or feelings there, particularly for a guilty conscience (I play fairly renegade as my canon). He isn't the type to get broken down or sad over the loss of civilians. I mean, he's very pro-Cerberus and very much a 'results at all costs' kind of guy. All the lives lost now are balanced by all the life that gets to live on later if he succeeds.

That said, he would have his moments where the stress of being the only sane person in the galaxy, and how he's constantly been stymied and ignored by the powers-that-be. Miranda is the only outlet he can have to feel that vulnerability, I feel, and the only person who could get him to even realize how much stress he's under. 

Whether you want that characterization of Shepard cracking or not, you know what would've been great? If he cracked about shit he'd actually done/had happen to him, or people he lost that actually mattered. Not some dumbass kid being shoved down your throat. And if they made the dream sequences more interesting than running in super slow motion towards said dumbass kid.

Running through ye olde Miranda thread on the forum, looking for stuff that's worthwhile to archive here perhaps. I know many images don't have any other place really on the internet.

Eh, to me, that's jtav's reasons for people liking Miranda. I don't necessarily see eye to eye with her on much.

Sure, there's parts of it I agree with. But there's a lot of it I don't. That's all that needs to be said.

I'm trying to find it, but a lot of the old image links don't work anymore.

On the other hand, I can archive the Miranda War or one of MEFAN4Life's meltdowns...

But the point of his dreams is not the kid. The child seems to represent his conscience or something. But in the dreams he hears Kaiden or Ashley. If Mordin dies, Shepard starts hearing him too. He hears Legion after Rannoch.
