I took it as the devs playing and the IGN person just watching :/ . Yeah they didn't let Game Informer guy play the game either, not sure why. I wish they'd brought a melee character, I want to see more of Rook in the back.
Are qunari in this game going to have gigantic foreheads? lol they all stole it from Harding. Also I need that Rook's skin care routine.

Still on the fence on whether to play a mage, the person playing Rook mage made him look very squishy lol. Still I like the crowd control abilities.

I wish they'd brought a melee character, I want to see more of Rook in the back. Well, for this presentation I'm entirely unsurprised they gave the controller to someone experienced with the game. I mean, if I got to play the game I see for the first time on an advanced level, we'd probably spend at least 10 minutes just figuring how to move around and figure out the basics. The person who played must've known exactly what they're doing, so they could show what they want to show in mere 20 minutes. That thing's buttery smooth xD I think I've heard somewhere that we'd have control over skin shine, so they probably used a very matte setting.

My first impressions: - The areas are beautifully designed
- Loved that some companions prefer "Aggressive" dialogue options, most would disapprove of them in the previous games.
- Facial animations, on random NPCs at least, looked stiff.

Quite a few spoilers in the video.
It's good to see that there might be additional towns in the game outside of the major hubs/cities. I like a lot the area that they shown, for that little bit. It seems we'll have a good amount of variety on the front.
I like the idea of exploring the ancient history of the Evanuris.
The part about the side quest was a bit weird, personally. They could very well end up being quite interesting, but hyping them up while you shown the start of what looks like quests that look like basic ones is a strange.

2:30am so brief thoughts: - The Lighthouse is stunning. - Assan is the cutest thing I have ever seen . - Reconfirms my plan to play mage; only question is if I go Spellblade or Evoker. Probably I'll work that out in game. - Excited that we get to see flashbacks to Solas's rebellion and rebuild the Crossroads! Already invested in our ersatz Charon and we mostly saw the back of it's head. - Whoever kidnapped those griffons is going to be sorry

There was some awkwardness in the jogging and sprinting animations, but all in all, I think it looks really good. I especially enjoy the environments. Has it been confirmed to have a photo mode at launch? If so, my PT time is going to be doubled!

The game looks beautiful, combat looks fun as well though as a mage player I have to admit the warrior gameplay looked more fun. The Qunari Rook doesn't really look like a Qunari but it's unlikely I'll play as one anyway. Glad to see the NPC's faces close up in dialogue although I wonder why they couldn't get Rook's face showing as well in a back and forth (might be just a limited sample size of this kind of dialogue); talking about the side quest dialogues not the one with Davrin.

Good:
- There looks to be some fairly dreary settings to explore - Hopefully, there's good potential for exploration as well. The maps kind of remind me of the Darksiders games - I think Mages could have some potency if they're built well enough. - I saw some lore notes scattered about, so that should help provide additional context for the settings we visit.
Not so good:
- Animations looked fairly stiff, particularly the mouth animations and run animations. Needs better, more pronounced transitions. - I didn't really like how basic the shop UI looked.
Points of conflict:
- Considering how much the Darkspawn encroached upon the player, I'm starting to think Mage players will definitely have to get used to constantly being on the move. Some may like this, others may not. - I'm still not sure about the AI and their ability to dish out damage. It's hard to make an assessment.

Everything looking good and then there's this facial animation on the NPCs. I hope major NPCs don't suffer stiffness like that.
All the Rook they have showcased were gorgeous but this one ain't it lol
