Interesting. The female elf inky I've seen wears shadow dragon pj's. Hmm.. I wonder if that changes based on different choices. Yeah... Let's just say I don't see my Inquisitor wearing that. At all. lol

I wasn't a fan of Lords of Fortune warrior armor at first, but now i dig it, even if it looks gaudy. And casual outfit is one of my favorite. That Mourn Watch mage armor tho One of the variants kind of looks like a coroner's apron. This is the one that i meant, yeah. It doesn't even look ugly, imo, just funny.

Like, I personally don't have much of an issue with the new Qunari design. I don't think it's bad. They are creatures with giant horns on their heads, and those horns have a very wide base covered in skin - and this is Bioware's interpretation of how that'd look. I'll try to describe what I see. They inflated the forehead to attach the wide horn base. Unfortunately that does kind of look like the Qunari collectivly suffer from hydrocephalus. The very high hairline reinforces that. The DA2 Qunari had a more elegant solution with a lower hairline and adjusted proportions. I tried to edit a screenshot in that direction, already shared that in another thread but here it is again: Oh the right Qunari is so ugly lmao

That Mourn Watch mage armor tho Nevarra will never win fashion contest! Seriously.. They are sandwiched between two empires with ridiculous regards to fashion. I guess their Marcher roots stayed with them. Female LoF mage armor looks like it's inspried from Rivaini Seers but I'd like to see my men donning that with full on abs windows too. Bring me some sexy mage, pirate dudes.

Not sure if someone posted Skill Up's in here already, but his take is usually my go-to for this sort of hands on game preview. Not just because his is pretty unbiased and down-to-earth, but also because he always states upfront that he turns down any expense paid by the game developers/publishers (hotels, meals, transport, etc), unlike other content creators. Let's be real, once your hotel and meal are paid by EA (or be it Activision, Nintendo, whomever) to have a look on their game, you have strings attached. All of that said, I am more positive towards the game now than I was before. Ehhh... while I'm neither hot nor cold on Skill Up, I'm kinda iffy about gaming personalities boldly declaring that they paid all travel expenses (good for him that he's in secure-enough financial situation to afford that), because he still got an exclusive access to preview the game. That's not nothing. He's being transparent about whether or not they have a relationship with the company. Which is something influencers and reviewers are required to do, by law. That's everything, if you ask me. True, they had access to a preview. And BioWare got a review (which = publicity) in return. That's the gig. Literally. If I'm a beauty/cosmetics influencer, and I'm sent a bunch of free products, expected to do a story, a post, a YT video about their damn lipgloss - that's a business relationship. If I'm not upfront about it, and then post a bunch of videos blowing smoke up their @ss, I'm being dishonest. Good for Skill Up's. And good for BioWare! Unbiased marketing is still marketing.

The Qunari, Vashoth and Tal-Vashoth all look so ugly. In Inquisition you could see very well where the horns start and how they affect the shape of the head. In Veilguard, they just look like they're stuck on and the lack of detail in the cartoon look takes away any chance of them being taken seriously in their appearance. Did the designers even take a closer look at the Qunari from DA2 and DAI? Have you considered that they did, and they've actually decided that they want to go in this direction? In fact, have you considered that the Qunari perhaps were always supposed to like like that, and they were held back before by technical limitations, just like they were held back by DAO's engine, which prevented them from adding horns on Qunari at all?? Man... people are entitled to their opinion about artists choices once their creation is let out into the wild, but as someone who creates herself I can't help being frustrated when creators are so often treated like idiots who don't know their own creation, once they make conscious decisions that some in the audience don't like. I get what you're saying - and there are those who just want to see BioWare burn to the ground, and are using the whole Qunari thing as a means to do it. However, two things can be true at the same time. There are also fans, just like you and me, whose concerns are coming from a genuine place, who actually play the Qunari (I for example, don't) and perceive that as an issue which will affect their experience. These people are also out there, on here, and their opinions are just as valid.

I actually really love how gaudy LoF gear has been so far, Taash included. They're treasure hunters and I can definitely see many of them having a massive vain streak. I know my LoF will, haha.

Kala has posted a “Meeting Rook” clip that I hadn’t seen. Goes without saying, spoilers. Question: Does the intro play out differently according to one’s class, or will my Mage really be kicking barrels and head-butting people? Yeah, DA2 had some nice class-immersive scenes… in DAI also we could rebuild bridges, light Veilfire, open portals… I really like that kind of stuff. Hope to see it in Veilguard! I saw the cinematic with mage Rook and unfortunately it was the same. I was pretty disappointed by that.

Keep in mind that Rook does not have their weapons so is making some attempt to be under cover.

I managed to find a montage of the armors and outfits by factions / class !
Well, for me, the Lord of Fortune Mage remains #1, followed by the Crow Mage. I'm not even sure what they were going for with the Mourn Watch Mage though. I mean, beyond "1st level hospital scrub".

^ Yeah, the Mourn Watch mage is giving "I work in a morgue, preparing bodies. The apron is for, y'know, all the blood and bodily fluids and stuff". My fav has got to be the Crow mage, all like blue/purple and black, leather & feathers... and the Shadow Dragon mage - like, I want to like it.

I’m sorry but the belt of pouches across the breastplate is peak BioWare Fashion, I snorted when I saw that.
Edit: The mourn watch warrior armor is beautiful. I can’t wait to play as one.
