Are there any traits or perks that make charging either ranged or basic attacks go a bit faster? I'm doing a warrior and would love charging up the shield to go a bit faster. For Mage yes (staff heavy specifically) for the other ones no, it's mostly because of interrupt spamming enemies. I would recommend using Time Slow, Taunt, or Invulnerable from companions to make it very easy to get off.

After meeting Taash the first time, she will say look behind the waterfalls for any goodies. I did that in other parts of the map I visited to find goodies. Be careful. Some waterfalls have a gap behind them that rook has to jump across.

Noticed something possibly weird.
I forgot to respec the skills on Neve and took an ability that wasn't upgraded, while removing the upgraded one (Glacial Pace) from the bar.
And suddenly she still fires her unslotted ability (Glacial Pace) during combat. It has the upgrade for auto-fire randomly without cooldown. It happens regularly now.
Is that a glitch or expected behavior?
Edit: Yup, Taash is also Overwhelming when her Overwhelm ability isn't on the skill bar.

Items with these descriptitors should have a button to press for more info (on PC K/M it's G). That being said, I personally feel they do not always give enough info.

On PC you can hover over the skill and press G for more details, it explains what the afflictions are and effects like precision, deflect, etc.

What's the difference between an agile attack and a light attack? Light attack is simply pressing that button (square on PS or X on Xbox controller). Agile attacks are ones coming from sprint, jump, or roll (regardless of which input you use to attack). So an attack can be both a Light attack and an Agile attack.

And yes, all bolded terms should appear in the additional details section. There is also a section in the glossary that lists them all, along with what each of the enemy Enhancements do.

This is intentional, yes. Soon as you buy the autofire passive (each companion has one of them) they'll fire it regardless of what they have mapped.

Luke, the Warrior has a trait at the lower left section of the skill tree that allows you to follow-up a fully-powered Charged Attack with a Powerful Finisher attack. However, I can't seem to get the timing down on WHEN I'm supposed to hit X or Y (I'm on xbox) after the Charged Attack. Is it as soon as the final Charged attack hit lands, or soon after? I'm playing 2H warrior btw

I think my biggest issue in combat are parry windows (Mage) trying to time the parry a certain amount of time after the yellow indicator comes up. My instinct to hit it as soon as comes up or I wait too long. Is there a way to get these to align more closely? Also, is there a way to set Sprint as a Hold rather than a Toggle. Or just set it to always sprint in combat w/KB&M? This one continues to mess me up.

Try it with the heavy attack but the timing is pretty tight for all those perfect timing ones.

Do you happen to know when the optimum point is? - On the final hit? - Shortly after the final hit?

Hmm..... in theory, you could get just drunk enough for your slowed reflexes to make an immediate attempt to parry work. Not exactly helpful, I know.

Both AC and HZD built a muscle reflex to try and parry immediately when the white outline shows up. Which leads to hilarious scenes when the enemy has a sequences of parriable attacks that I always parry at the wrong time and get hit by all of them while Rook does a parry pose inbetween getting his ass handed to him. Ugh, the frustration. I try to wait the yellow marker, but it either arrives later than I anticipate (so I parry wrongly again), or doesn't work for some reason, or I get clobbered by a red attack that comes from a completely different enemy offscreen. I think turning off the white warning might help me to actually parry better, lol. Skip me straight to the yellow, coach. Unfortunately I didn't see such an option in the game. Anyone found it?

Hello, I have a series of gameplay mechanics questions:
- Status effects/afflictions/advantages: beside the worded effect, what exactly does each of them do? For example, how much does Overwhelm increase stagger damage? How much does Enhance Damage increase damage by? What does Bees do? How do we know how much a damage over time effect is doing and how do they scale?
- How long do each of them last? While I know it is optimal to detonate them later, is there a way to tell when an effect is ending?
- How much damage does detonation actually do? I assume the stats of the detonator is what determines the damage, so if a companion does the detonation, the damage is calculated based off companion strength?
- Do skill nodes and effects from items stack? For example, if I get both the "+10% damage from each active advantage" skill and also wear the armor piece with that effect, I essentially get +20% from each advantage active? For this, does something like armor mastery and triple threat count as an advantage?
- How much bonus damage do you get from hitting elemental weakness and resistances? (I know this is likely governed by game settings)
- How does penetration work? Say, if an enemy has 100 defense and 25% resistance, does it ignore both? Actually, how DOES defense and resistances work compared to damage?
- How does companion damage work? Bellara in my game for some reason has 700+ ability damage despite having crap hear, while Neve does not even have 200 ability damage.
- I noticed how i can parry and return a projectile on my mage with perfect defense by default, but warrior requires a skill for it, is it intended to be like that?

Was there any kind of tutorial for parrying in the game beyond "hit Q to block incoming damage"?
