Act One Poll [Major mid-act Spoiler]

Same as everyone else, I also chose Treviso. Strong mages with ranged magic vs civilians with no way of defending themselves. Plus I’m a warden, so the thought of blighted Treviso vs ‘just’ occupied Minthrathous made it an easy choice. Easier to fight a coup than a blight.

I really feel like Neve (and I suspect Lucanis will too, if you chose differently) is being unfair. It’s not like we’re the only ones who could save the city. We even split the party and sent 3 people to each, so unless they think we single handedly could take down a dragon, I see no reason for why this choice is our fault.

Minrathous, it was an obvious choice for my Shadow Dragon. She's one of those 'I hate my hometown but will defend it every chance I get' people.

With my Mourn Watch Reaper, I made alternate saves because I wanted to explore each option for her. Treviso doesn't have an official army, it's true, but Minrathous falling could mean much more dire things for the north than what happens to fantasy Venice. (Still, kept that one save so I might try the Lucanis romance later.)

The notification I got is that her friendship points will accrue more slowly. Means you signed up for a slow burn but not impossible I'm sure,

Chose Treviso, but the dilemma was real!
First, it was a choice between supporting the city of my two potential love interests for Rook (yup, real problems!)
I was also EXTREMELY tempted to make Lucanis's romance a slow-burn after quickly playing through the Minrathous part to see what happens, then reading up on the consequences for either Neve or Lucanis. Some had a bug for Lucanis's romance after that choice though, so that was meh to read.

Secondly, in my background story for Rook, he was fleeing to Tevinter from his circle during the DAI events. When he eventually arrived there, nothing was like he imagined it, gutted about the state of the poor there. In the end he left instead of trying to find a life there and maybe do some good, so he feels letting Neve down when she tries to make the place better for her people means to also let down these poor folk again. (Which is somewhat nonsense, but it's how I imagine my Rook feels )

So some emotional stuff in my head, but in the end, I chose to save Treviso for the reasons people in here did, too.

I think the mission itself was too short and a bit lackluster, but it was gut-punchy to return to Minrathous and see the consequence of not helping them. The atmosphere in the city is really well-captured to me. Neve hasn't returned yet, so I can't wait to see that drama play out.

I really liked the Viper (though he's just an upgraded Fairbanks when you think about it), and of course Dorian and Maevaris. So I wanted to choose Minrathous, but I'm trying (trying being the operative word here) to romance Lucanis, and as melbella said, priorities.

I found this choice actually quite painful, because Lucanis and Neve are my two favourite companions. Now Neve dislikes me, but even worse, I hate that she's been hardened, and I've heard it's permanent. It's like Virmire, but with companions I really like (sorry to Kaidan and Ashley fans).
