I’m just about finished my first play through as a human rogue shadow dragon.
I’m thinking an elf mage grey warden might be the most immersive way to go for my next play through, but was curious as to what other suggestions players may have or combos they have tried.
I romanced Neve which I enjoyed - so romance suggestions are welcome too,

I would recommend elf mage Grey Warden (I think this faction gets most stuff in a world story) and romance Davrin.
My second recommendation would be Mourn Watch. Most stuff on personal level and lot of interaction in party banter if you keep Emmrich with you. Also would recommend Emmrich romance for Mourn Watcher.
Compared to these, rest of the factions are kind of "meh" imo.

I did dwarven rogue Lord of Fortune on my first run. It was good, but there didn’t seem to be a huge amount of faction specific stuff.
Currently in Act 1 of elven warrior Grey Warden and I’ve already had more faction dialogue than the entire first play through. Also enjoying warrior a lot more than I did rogue, which is unusual for me.

Definitely recommend Grey Warden, but consider going dwarf instead of elf if you're willing to try a Warrior! Champion is extremely fun and the game is much more 'dwarfy' than I was expecting it to be. Grey Warden dwarf Rook has at least one bit of dialogue that no other character gets.

My Dwarf Mourn Watcher warrior was awesome. We need more Mourn Watchers! And Dwarves! This Is my 4th and final playthrough planned. My recommendations are - Qunari Antivan Crow Mage play as a spellblade. Dwarf Warden Warrior Champion or Slayer Elf Veil Jumper rogue Veil Ranger. These are my three playthroughs so far and they have all been very fluffy In terms of dialogue, playstyles etc. Spellblade Is a powerhouse btw.

I’d say either Elf or Dwarf warden. As for romances, Davrin with a warden feels like a natural fit.

There's really not that much branching in this game but one of the few things that will expose you to more stuff is choosing Warden, so that's wise, and it's probably worth running through at least part of this game as an elf because you'll get some reactivity.

I played as a human mage warden and an elf rogue veiljumper, and based on the dialogue options I’d agree an Elf Mage Warden would be the most immersive. The whole game is about defeating magical blighted elven gods, so you’d have a lot invested in it as that character background  |

Grey Warden is on eo fth emos timmersive I would as yI was ahuman mage but elf would probabl yfit better given Elgarnan and Ghilanain aer elven gods. Thoug hm ynext characte rwill b ehuman too my next 2 hreoes afte rwill both be elves. I am planning on my nex tInquisitor to be an elf bu tthat's different.
