Wait, when was it confirmed all the species were on the Nexus? As far as I am aware it has only been confirmed there is more than 1 species on it (probably 4 or 5).

All I read about the Nexus is that it travels to Andromeda ahead of the four species designated arks (human, asari, turian, and salarian), and that representatives of those species cohabitate the Nexus. Then those four species-specific arks travel to their designated 'golden world' habitats to seek out and establish a new home for their species. Humanity misidentifies/ or misses its mark and ends up in a hostile territory. As for the krogan:

I was pretty darn happy to see the Nexus honestly. Original concept art they showed involved a large ring like space station. I was thinking that was the 'Ark ship' we all traveled on back then. Then started thinking maybe we go in Ark ships (once the leak mentioned multiple ships like a year ago) and then we just built a space station there or something? Anyway, eventually I thought maybe there just isn't one and they scrapped the idea and it's just the ARK Ships.
So yeah, really happy about the whole theres 4 ark ships and 1 station-ring-like ship that heads out at the forefront. It probably serves the same purpose as I was originally thinking all those years ago as the Citadel replacement for us. Between the whole initative video, and the new trailer I'm even more confident of that now.
Seems like our specific ark (the Hyperion, human specific one) gets pretty messed up either due to a planet we end up flying into while in stasis or get shot down by Kett or whatever. I dunno, but looks like it gets crapped on and the remnants of that have to work to get off that planet to head to the Nexus which I think is roughly when we'll become 'The Pathfinder' as a replacement for our Father (since he was the one).
Which means it all going to shit would most likely be the intro to the game, and us getting off the planet is the initial mission and it opens up once we get to the Nexus. Thaaaat's all my assumptions atm and in general happy the Nexus is a thing.
