Over powered weapon worse than the Krysae ever was that should have been nerfed into the next galaxy.

Aha!  Yes the crux of the matter, take a key attribute of a gun, that being reload speed and make it a non factor.  thus leaving a an over powered weapon that every one and their dog uses, including power users who by logic should dictate that they look for lighter weapons.

Do you dispute that this gun has the same level of love and probably more than any gun in the game?  It's the best gun in the game because reloading is not a factor.  As I said overpowered weapon, over used, that should have been nerfed just like any other weapon perceived to be over powered in this game.  Thank you, come again.

Properly reload-canceled, the reload animation itself still takes more than a second -1.04 seconds, to be precise (and this number isn't arbitrary, but specifically put in the game by the devs). Add to that the delay caused by the ROF, and it has the 3rd slowest fire rate (once every ~2.1s) in the game, right after Javelin and Widow.

Claymore isn't so well loved because of how overpowered it is (it isn't), but beacause how good it sounds and feels and how well it responds to the skill of its wielder. Yes, it's powerful, but only if used properly. Missing with it can mean death, as the next shot is full two seconds away. It's reload can be easily interrupted. It's also the 3rd heaviest weapon in the game, right after Spitfire and Javelin. That power comes at a price.

The really OP weapons in this game have much fewer drawbacks. Hurricane and Talon are absurdly light, powerful and easy to use. Reegar is a little heavier, but even more absurdly powerful. Arc Pistol at least requires decent aim, but again - absurdly powerful with no drawbacks.

You're just mad because others can do well with Claymore but you can't. Git gud or deal with it.

Claymore's objectively better at instakilling those pesky Dragoons.

I still haven't formed a deeply personal relationship with our High Lord and Saviour. Maybe one of these days.

tbh in Dark Souls 1 preferred it over the zweihander for my quality build because it was fun skewering things with that one-handed R2 forward stab.

It ended up being one of my favorite weapons in the first game. Never played the second game so idk what went on there, but in my first playthrough of the third game it carried me through the first 1/3 of the game, then I found the Cathedral Knight Sword right before I beat the Deacons and switched out to that for the rest of the playthrough, since I love the ridiculously dumb and improbable huge slab of metal swords
