Liara is incredibly powerful if you kit her correctly and Garrus or Legion are gods with snipers. I do admit I go for a somewhat glass cannon set up but it works wonders on Insanity.

It depends on my class.

As a Vanguard:
Garrus, Kaiden/Miranda. Garrus is the "Batman" to my "Superman", and Kaiden/Miranda are Sentinels, so a 3-person team consisting of a Vanguard, Sentinel, and Infiltrator is a concept that really appeals to me.

As a Sentinel:
In ME1, Garrus and Wrex, for the same reason listed above.
In ME2, Jacob with Squad Incendiary Ammo is an excellent pick, and I can detonate his Pull. Garrus again, for obvious reasons.
In ME3, Kaiden and James. Barrier, Fortification, and Tech Armor make us all walking tanks; squad-version of Incendiary Ammo with Explosive Burst from James, and Kaiden's boost to tech and biotic damage combined with mine and James' squad boost to health/shields... basically we've doubled up on versatile abilities between Kaiden and myself, and James brings all the literal firepower we don't already have, and we can all use assault rifles.

I would have put in Ash or Kaidan instead of Wrex, but we just don't get enough of Kasumi or Wrex as they are really only squadmates in one game. And I love Kasumi, and Wrex is my favorite character in the series.

Trying to pick only 2 makes me realise how fantastic the ME squad mates are.

Garrus is a must have, then perhaps Vega, Kasumi, Mordin or for my renegade Shep, Zaeed. I'm choosing them purely based on story and the wise cracks they'd come out with and not at all for their abilities. :rollseyes:

The second person depends on whether my Shepard is the main biotic or not. If they are then I'd probably go with Mordin. Otherwise, it would definitely be Jack.
