I mean, seeing how they were much more technologically advanced than "our" cycle, i think it would make some degree of sense, and i mean sense by Andromeda's standards, if they had developed a technology similiar to that of the Arc during the war against the Repears, and had used it as a fallback plan

So, i think, it wouldn't be too far-fetched if they found themselves in Andromeda, and once there tried to colonize the place and rebuild their society. Plus, from what we learn from Javik, we know their Empire wasn't all sunshines and rainbows before the war. They could provide the big, bad presence "there, but not there" that BW always likes to have in their games (Reapers, Darkspawn, Collectors, mage-templars ecc ecc)

Also, it would be kind of a cool throwback to ME1

Maybe it's just me, but i really don't feel this need to explore "new species and new stuff", especially since the "old" hasn't really been explored in its entirety. Probably that's why i feel like having old-new faces play a big part of the next game wouldn't be so bad

I seriously hope that we don't have anything to do with the protheans or any of the old advanced races that was in the milky way galaxy, the AI is going to another galaxy with completely new races that we have never seen heard of. Like The Remnant I have heard of them before but nothing is known much about them yet I take it

I'm sure there will have been others throughout history... could you imagine if the Leviathans had fled the Reapers to Andromeda? Some interesting possibilities there - I for one hope we haven't seen the last of them. Would be a pretty cool plot twist to bring them back as the final antagonists in the series one day after we have explored more of Andromeda. I could certainly imagine them leaving a trail of dead civilizations (e.g. the Remnant) in their wake.

I don't know if Protheans traveling to Andromeda is more or less far-fetched than humans doing it in 2185, but I would prefer it if they didn't.

No. Protheans in Andromeda is a terrible idea. I would not be pleased to see them. The last of them died heroically, setting the stage for our victory. Let them stay dead. Let's not ruin them the way Cerberus has been ruined.

Are you referring to the Galactic Mystery that Mac / Flynn keep talking about?

It's speculative but I believe that Threat is for the next game. Andromeda deals with only local cluster issues, imo = mainly the Khet.

I second this. It would super lazy for Bioware to just copy pase the Protheans to this galaxy. I'm personally hoping for as little focus on ancient races as possible. I would much rather the game focus on the conflict between the native Andromeda races and the Milky Way invaders.

I don't mind old species showing up, it's kind of needed since we're coming from the Milky Way. My point was that if we take every single element into the new galaxy then it won't feel like a new galaxy at all. It'll just be Milky Way with a different name and new enemies. In other words, so we don't keep going back and forth, I'm happy with the kind of middle ground Bioware already seems to be doing, more to one side or the other and I think it wouldn't work.

We have The Remnant I keep reading about here and there but nothing more, I predict that The Remnant will be the Andromeda Galaxies version of the Protheans and the Khet will be like the Turians at around the first contact war

Nah I don't want that. The only thing I like about Andromeda's premise is that Bioware gets to tell completely new stories that aren't restricted to the Milky Way lore. If Prothean ruins are a main part of Andromeda, what narrative reason would there be to justify leaving the Milky Way? It trivializes Andromeda's setting.

I would love to see the Protheans again though. Maybe a game set during the Prothean cycle. But ME has been a human story since day 1 so I don't see that happening.

Nope, no protheans pls. They've lost their mystery through Javik and have already been the bad guys as Collectors.

Now, if it was some other Milky Way species like the Inusannon, that'd be okay. We know next to nothing about them other than the fact that they came before the Protheans and had weird face tentacles.
