I was thinking that they had to focus on colonizing places where dextro foods could be better grown/found because of their specific dietary needs. I don't know how well they supplied and all that, but food they brought with them would dwindle down eventually... and if they want to survive and thrive they may need to focus on that. Also as one of the more militant of the council species they may be fighting on several different fronts by now.

Compare an Asari to Peewee Hamburglar and you may have your answer.

The answer will likely be that they've changed their appearance slightly. But unlike the Asari I think they might actually wind up looking better than before.

After 5 years and $40 million they give you a Mass Effect beta demo to prepare for Anthem. Sold at full price featuring never to be resolved cliffhangers. BioWare is over Pyjaks.

Wee Hamburglar's look has come a long way since June. She still has a stupid outfit, but she no longer looks like Shrek, and has lost the eyebrows. Much improved. She's pretty much a normal asari, now.

Yeah, more females is one of the things I meant by "more diversity in their models". The other would be not using the same model for every turian in the game.

I suspect models, including genders, will be more varied in MEA. The new engine loosens a lot of tricky knots.

But it still looks like she was homeless on Omega at some point and decided stripping wasn't an option. (So she became a raccoon.) Hoping she has an interesting story and for the love of the Biotic God please don't tell me she does without spoiler links.
