+The Elder King and +Shechinah
thanks for the info on that, I was hoping that since I'll be playing Male Ryder first that I could add Sis Ryder as a squadmate. Must say a little disappointing for me at least because before learning that whoever you don't choose will be on the ship I was thinking that it would be a good idea to have brother sister together on same squad.
So I'll have to change my thought then. So then if I could I would like to add the founder of the AI into my party if I can add her of course, I would also want to add the Turian and Salarian and maybe the Asari

Sis Ryder, and two of Peedee, Drack, Turian and Salarian squadmate - assuming we get them of course. Human's stay on the ship, unless they are as legendary as Zaeed was.

In Mass Effect games on Insanity runs squadmates were mostly useless to be honest. Different situation was in DA games. Mages were most useful. This is why I always have my favourite characters with me, no matter what class they are. So, I'll do the same in Andromeda for sure. And of course, one slot is always reserved for LI. Never going on a mission without LI.

For my first playthrough, I will mix them up as much as possible. How else will I get to know their particular skills otherwise? It's on my second playthrough that I'll start sticking with the particular squad that meshes with that particular Ryder build the best.

But if rumors are true and Liam's vanguardy, I might have to take him with my Ryder. I have SUCH fond memories of vanguard-Shepard, Wrex and Grunt in the arena. It was stupid as all hell, and an absolute blast. Wait, Liam might be a vanguard? I must have missed that. Omg, this character just keeps getting better and better! So that confirms he's a badass, right? My first playthrough will be a biotic. I hope the powers are not all new. I've got plans for area reave and charge... and they better make shockwave cool again. Oh, and this game NEEDS to have a Fury build! In fact, you know what, Bioware? Keep it simple. Just put all ME3MP powers into the SP to freely mix and match. There. Awesome game. 100% guaranteed. Don't change what works. Just make it all look even more awesome, like bring back ME1 singularity fun, and make everything lightning fast and smooth and it will be amazing. Please no weird DAI attack slow-downs and awkward camera angle. This game needs fast combat.

I honestly never had any problems with squad mates on insanity runs, I always play mass effect and all 3 immediately on Insanity and I must say I had zero problems with squad members and they did their jobs perfectly it seemed for me, so much so that they lived through a lot and rarely died. Of course that is me and on my take of Insanity, speaking of Insanity difficulty I play on playing Andromeda on Insanity difficulty immediately from the start. +Shechinah that will be good having their own story and can interact with them, that means that I will be interacting the other Ryder sibling a lot as well as with all the other crew members

Really? So do they actually get smarter then on Insanity? (I've never played a full PT on Insanity.) Because only two weeks ago I started ME3 again on hardcore as a vanguard and during Garrus' recruitment both of them got killed BY HUSKS within five seconds. I kid you not. It happened every wave. It was hilarious seeing them trying to wrestle them off and fail. I didn't bother reviving them. Hardcore is so trololol easy as a biotic. Seriously, how do yours not die? Do you pause the game every second telling them where to go and what to do? Feels like the second you let the AI take over, they die. Was like that in ME2 too for me. I heard giving them certain weapons improves the situation somewhat because they stay behind cover more but never paid attention to it myself.

I heard giving them certain weapons improves the situation somewhat because they stay behind cover more but never paid attention to it myself. I see I have a new twin (great avatar choice, ravenous!) One way to get your squad to not die is to park them at the back of the fight in cover. It will make their weapons useless, but you can still use all their powers. This works for all three games. Also, I find they stay alive more easily if you set their power usage to "Defense Only." It also helps in all 3 games to allot maximum skill points to their defensive powers and shields, e.g. barrier, immunity, etc. Again, this will forfeit some of their firepower help, but they will stay on their feet. Also, part of it is knowing how to position yourself in the battle since they will generally follow your path somewhat. I play all three games regularly on insanity, I don't micromanage my squad, and I find that my squads usually stay on their feet quite well. I've gone through entire ME1, 2 & 3 insanity playthroughs without having to revive squad mates even once. That isn't saying that they haven't died once... just that when they did go down, it was so near the end of the battle anyways, I didn't feel that I needed them on their feet to finish the job.

It's a little early to be deciding. I'll take the ones that complement each type of SisRyder I play.

It won't matter because regardless of which squadmates I chose, they'll wind up dead on the floor in a matter of seconds leaving me to do everything.

I take it you play Hardcore/Insanity a lot as well, haha. Personally, I'm hoping that Biolulz will at least buff our squadmates' health, shields/barriers and (most importantly) AI.

As I don't believe we yet know how many of the old abilities are still in, this is going by the old abilities.
I'm thinking I'll be using a sniper rifle as my primary weapon with the secondary weapon being a pistol or an assault rifle. If no sniper rifle to my liking is avaliable then I'll probably fit a scope on a rifle or pistol if I can do that.
I'd like to mix and match biotic and engineer abilities for my first character. I haven't decided which biotic abilities yet: I find most of them fun although I'm probably staying away from Charge or anything similar to my terrible habit with it. Pull will probably be one of them since I like using it and I find it handy to deal with bothersome enemies staying in cover. For engineer abilities, I'd like a combat drone and if avaliable, turrets or similar abilities.

Well, I tend to favour adepts, particularly the first time through so I should imagine the krogan will be a shoo-in. I know the classes are disappearing and you can select stuffs you want but I'll need someone techy too since I'm not too interested in that sort of thing if I'm biotic-booming across the map.

And I agree, considering I'm planning on doing my first playthrough of the game on the highest difficulty it'll allow me to choose (which hopefully will be Insanity but I'd settle for Hardcore). It would be annoying to have to learn every encounter with one-third the amount of firepower the game expects me to have, but hey, I'm in it for the challenge anyway.
