I quite liked having the tavern singer in DA:I and it would be interesting (and nice) to have something like that in ME:A

Scat is almost always a good way to go with these things. Good scat is almost as rare and hard to find as it is unique. Performers are often intimidated when asked to perform for the camera or a live audience; scat isn't exactly something most people identify with and for that reason it remains largely hidden or left unspoken about by mainstream society. However there a few notable examples from popular culture, that I think could be made reference of in the game to shed light on this underground phenomenon, which really seems to have grown to encompass a much wider audience now with the arrival of video, audio and even live streaming on the internet.Beyond this Scat can be fun and it's doubtful Alien cultures will have experienced it or have anything similar. So to have a Batarian involved in a scat scene would be an almost unrivalled depiction of a multicultural mission and evidence a well knit society.
Here is one such example from the Blues Brothers Movie i feel could be replicated to make reference.

This would be a nice touch. Maybe they could rotate a few different ones for each visit to get some variety to the music as well.

I enjoy the lounge music. I just do not enjoy it being the only song played. In Mass Effect 2, the music played in Dark Star was my favorite, but it was the only track played in there... for the entire game. I have heard people request the same song twice, but the same song the entire game? I would be happy with three tracks -- three is, at least, better than one. At least one could hear something else while talking to a NPC. This was my problem when going back to the Afterlife club. Every time I walked in, it was the same song -- every time. BioWare should bring back the tavern/lounge/club music, just more than one track, please.

I loved the bards in DA:I and The Witcher 3, but I'm not sure if I'd like something similar in ME:A.

I can recall someone writing about one time they played a song by Tom Jones twenty seven times in a jukebox. The people in the diner lasted through six or seven.
