They don't want us to draw parallels, but...

I think the biggest problem for me with Tali was that she was written into the Quarian plot arc so deeply(for good reason, of course), and that arc was the weakest in the game outside of Thessia.

For instance, even if she is exiled from the fleet, six months later she's an admiral. That's a blatant shift in circumstances only to make writing her into the arc a little easier.

Even though Admiral Ra'an was the 'bad' admiral in ME2, she's just there to feature her voice actress, rather than serve a major purpose in the plot. If Tali is dead, you barely notice she's there.

Even though Admiral Garrel was sympathetic to Tali and the 'good' admiral in ME2, he becomes nothing more than a madman out for Geth blood(or hydraulic fluid, I guess).

So I suppose it's less about Tali, and more about the Quarrian arc in ME3. 

Just my two cents. YMMV. 

Sera's storyline amounted to "Evenin' govnah', I'm a quirky asshole and I can help your Inquisition except you're actually going to help me and I'm not going to be of any help to you whatsoever, kthxbye".

She sounds more like a mixture of Sera, Jack and Aethyta to me, based on her description.

Personally, I don't see that as a bad thing in the slightest.

I hated Sera with a deep burning passion. I can't help but felt the need to kick her out of my team EVERY single time I play the game.
However I don't have this feeling with PB from what we have so far. It seems to me like the hyper-focused tech/ nerd who is just interested in her field of study and doesn't care too much about anything else but maybe I'm wrong. We shall see if she does turns out to be Sera 2.0 then I'll have the opportunity to test the new Tempest airlocks.

Well in case we cannot reject her then I hope she will be enjoying her quarters because she is going to have plenty of free time to spend there.

They've shown enough of her. I like to see the crewmembers that will on the tempest

They can fly to the next planet all on their own. I'm simply talking about booting them off the Tempest......literally.

Now I admit I'm curious how they even fit a character like Peebee (ahahaha!) into the overall narrative.

She likes to go off on her own and doesn't give a crap about the team? How did she even get in on the project?

"I'll take the cryo pod over there, thank you very much. Whoever was in there before can go find a new one."

And then she went off adventuring on her own. "Guys, I'll be taking a hard suit, two dozen rations, a Lancer and two engineering kits from the armory. You don't mind, right?" ... "Screw the hard suit. Why did no one tell me it covers the navel?"

Exactly the type of person I'd want to bring along. Or not.
