They don't want us to draw parallels, but...

I don't think that's particularly fair to say, given how little we know about the character so far and the context in which she's presented. You can boil pretty much any character down to archetypes or a bunch of characteristics and claim they're the same, but that only really works on paper. The way they are actually written and showcased in-game might be vastly different.

Okay, so she's interested in alien tech and mysteries, which might seem similar to Tali and Liara on the surface, but I don't think that's a reason to assume her character will be anything like theirs. I don't get your Jack comparison - if anything, I'd be more reminded of Grunt and the way he tackled Shepard upon being released from the tank. Mind going as quickly as her mouth, maybe sounds like Mordin, but again, superficial similarities don't necessarily indicate that they are a parallel of that character.

At the end of the day we know so little about her (or any of the characters) that it's very hard to make judgements about what they'll be like at this stage. So I wouldn't read too much into it and assume the character is going to be a mixture of previous Bioware companions just because of a few lines of description.

The problem is that you can make parallels with Every character that is created in every game/fictional world. Because there is only so many way to make a character. Now, just because she will have certain traits that other people in ME-universe have does not make her anything like those characters. The only thing that is making them like them is if the player want to make them to be a carbon-copy of those characters.

And I think her "blunt" attitude will more like be resembling Ashley if any.

But we will see. I will just stay positive.

Ah okay, yeah that makes sense. Still, as I said, she wasn't the only one who had a tussle with Shepard and I'm not sure I'd draw such close a comparison without knowing anything about the way Peebee actually is in game.

With the little info we have we can compare her to a number of characters. It's too early to say she's 'insert Bioware character' 2.0.

Uh... That "polite" Krogan is speaking all polite, but what he's saying is basically "We'll horribly murder this person in the most horrid of all ways even known to a Krogan unless she does exactly as we wish" - and the "as we wish" part is questionable.

He's definitely saying violence is gonna happen, don't be fooled by his polite manners.

We truly know bugger all about PeeBee.... so drawing parallels on a few hints and pure speculation is kind of pointless IMO.

She seems pretty unique thus far to me: like a younger Aria, science pirate edition.

I have to agree with the people saying she's just Science Sera. She sounds nothing like Liara, Tali, or Jack to me; she sounds exactly like Sera if Sera weren't a hypocritical moron. Hopefully she comes off different in the game, or I know who won't be in my party ever.

It sounds like Peebee (will never get over that name) has pretty much the same ROLE as Liara as a character who will tell you everything about mysterious alien technology and probably point you in the right direction and have crucial information at a later point that helps you save the day.
You too find her someplace, probably need to save her ass too. Very smart again. Because apparently ALL asari are smarter than everyone else.

Not exactly thrilled they decided to make the new asari squadmate another geek. Would have preferred an asari commando or something. If they wanted to write a character who's nothing like Liara they've already failed by assigning her a very similar role from the sound of it.

Personality-wise she doesn't sound all that much like Liara. Not really like Sera to me either. I'm actually curious how bubbly and lone wolf and sort of rude go together. I'm a bit confused how that works. Sera was more crude than bubbly to me. And while far from stupid she often came across stupid because she was very uneducated. And she even thought that was awesome.

I'd like to see an asari who isn't charming and cute. And not educated and smart. Maybe a grunt soldier. Somebody simple, and therefore more blunt.

Bubbly could be anything from very annoying to cute. I guess Merrill was sort of bubbly too. I find her type of character adorable but would rather Peebee was a mix of Dorian and Morrigan. If she's going to be smart, make her sarcastic at least.

If Andromeda will have race/gender-gated characters like DAI I'd find it funny if Peebee only liked guys.
