You know, initially I thought that Drack was much too similar to Wrex but as the story went on, he proved himself to be his own character and awesome in his own way. His old man struggles, his relationship to Kesh and so on. I love that old man.
I also love his rather subtle arc of not wanting to get emotionally attached to his squishy comrades but ending up so anyway and basically becoming the grandfather of the team who listens to their family stories and even tells the Archon to hurt him instead of Ryder.
For those that don't know about this, Drack makes it clear to Liam during Nomad banter early in the game that he dosen't care to know anything about Liam because he expects him (and really, the others as well) to die just like the non-krogan he's known before.

I like to imagine that on some level, Drack helped Ryder better come to terms with their father's death. The two of them met when Ryder was still struggling to deal with the loss they suffered, so there was slightly comforting to meet another grumpy, extremely stubborn old man.
Not that I'm suggesting that Ryder didn't love their father or was subconsciously looking to Drack to serve as a replacement for him. More that they were drawn to and appreciated being around something familiar, while they were still getting to grips with being alone in an unfamiliar place.

I'm just squeezing in here to say how much I love and appreciate Drack's character. He's my favorite Krogan out of all of the others we were given, like Wrex and Grunt.
HE'S JUST SO AWESOME. Plus he calls Ryder kid, which is what my granddad called me before he passed away. It was an affectionate pet-name, I guess. Drack just gives good vibes and I love him so much, guys.

I really enjoy how the series handles the relationship between human characters and the Krogan, where it seems that humans are often the shot of adrenaline and kick in the backside needed to get the Krogan (particularly older ones) out of their rut. Wrex and Drack both demonstrate that Krogan longevity tends to leave them feeling burned out after a few centuries, because they've seen and done everything worth doing. The much shorter-lifespan of humans means that they want to do everything now, which probably makes their boundless energy and wide-eyed enthusiasm extremely infectious to be around. Out of all the Milky Way species, humans seem to be the species most willing to cut the Krogan some slack and let them handle things their way, rather than trying to impose rules to make them "more acceptable" for galactic society. Hence why curing the Genophage in ME3 and allowing them to keep the Remnant power core in MEA is necessary to winning over the Krogan, because it showed that someone was willing to give them a chance, leaving their destiny entirely in their own hands.
Whether they drive into a ditch or even off a cliff, it clearly matters to the Krogan that someone is willing to trust them to be at the wheel again.

Drack is definitely my favorite character in ME:A. I'd say he's on a level with Wrex in terms of being my favorite Krogan but it says something that Drack was able to get there after just one game where as Wrex has a full story arc over three games to fill him out, so unless they completely drop the ball with him going forward, Drack could easily surpass Wrex in my eyes.
I do hope that future games and/or dlc have the option to encourage Drack and Lexi to get together.

Just finished my 1st MEA run. Drack, the old man, was in every single of my squads. Found his story and family arc, background and talks well done, especially the hilarious Bud Spencer / Terrence Hill Bar Fight

Papa Drack is so awesome! He became a permanent squadmember. There were a few 'makes sense for another' exceptions (e.g. angaran planets with Jaal) but other than that it's always him + the LI.

I feel like Drack was done early when there was still plenty of time and resources cuz he feels substantially more fleshed out than the average squadmate, maybe including the romances. His loyalty quest was really well done.

I loved the email Drack sent to Ryder to cheer him/her up about their father's death. A few wise words, a little awkwardness, and a bunch of bad photo attachments of guns from basically a Google Image search.

One of my favorite moments with Drack in the nomad:
Drack: Are you trying to be a superhero with your eye makeup?
Peebee: Are you trying to be a super villian with all the bones?
Drack: Yes.
Peebee: So cool.

Vetra and Drack are one of my favourite squad combinations to go around with. Thought it was a great move by the writers to establish that the two of them had already met each other prior to meeting Ryder and joining the crew. Having a prior friendship gave them a unique dynamic among the team and it really shone through in their interactions and banter together, where you could tell they felt comfortable with and trusted each other. When it came to doing their respective loyalty missions, felt only natural that they'd have each other's back. (Makes me wish in retrospect that they could have done something like this in the original trilogy. Like Wrex giving Garrus a bit of grief at first, because Garrus had threatened to bust him on a previous visit to the Citadel)

Weird to think Peebee's loyalty mission isn't the worst crash landing that Drack has ever experienced. Didn't he claim that he once surfed a shuttle as it crashed into a moon?
