Guys, I have a great idea for how Drack becomes our squad mate: what if he is a stowaway on the Tempest? As in, he breaks in before we leave for Andromeda (maybe to steal something?) and accidentally becomes trapped somewhere - he has to wait 600 years until we awaken and find him. Krogan can live for centuries, so it wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility. I just don't see any other way he would be allowed to join the Andromeda Initiative... the purpose is to repopulate a new galaxy. Why would they just bring one Krogan? There are other Krogan. From the sound of it the Krogan are on the Nexus. Perhaps that's how Drack arrives in Andromeda as well. The Andromeda Initiative leaves the Milky Way for Andromeda between ME1 and ME2, before the Krogan are allies in the Reaper War. It also during a period where many Krogan hire themselves out as bodyguards or mercenaries. Maybe that is the background for the Andromeda Initiative Krogan? Hired as muscle, in case they run into hostile aliens in Andromeda? The mercenary background doesn't work well with colonization, because they'd need females and their females aren't interested in mercenary job. Unless AI doesn't hires krogans as a whole, because the only thing they can "contribute" is their strength and durability. Though technically you can clone them and switch chromosomes if necessary, like Miranda's father did, but didn't work quite well in her case.

We got even more confirmation about Drack due to Mac Walters confirming him on twitter. He was most likely the krogan squadmate in the trailer. His bone decorated armor was pretty cool looking.

any takers on his class? If Zaeed was born Krogan, he'd look like Drack. Nothing about his appearance suggests a techy.

I would love it if the bones had some sort of cultural significance and he explained it to us. But that's just me hoping he has an unexpected intellectual side and isn't just 'smash smash kill kill.'
And I like his voice.

I love the "old baddass/seasoned battlemaster" vibe comming from his appeareance. I think despite, that he might act as voice of reason at some crucial points of the story. Cannot wait to take him along to the toughest missions to blow up stuff

Wonder why they gave him a kid name like Drack despite being our game's wise old man.

Krogans live in tribes. This is the first Krogan who actually looks tribal.
Was he some lone ranger with nothing to lose living in the wilderness of Tuchanka? His natural Krogan durability and harsh survival skills made him #1 candidate for Androma exploration.

I really like him, he looks wise, lived and violent, the only thing I'm not entirely sold are those bones on the armor. They feel slightly ridiculous but maybe there is a story behind those. Looking promising so far.

Looking promising so far. I'm still not sure how I feel about the fact that krogans have beards now. On one hand it's "Krogan beards? Seriously, design team", on the other hand it's cute.

Well I surprisingly like those especially how they played with the Krogan scales to make them look like a sort of krogan beard. Maybe they are the distinctive sign of Krogan approaching his elder age. Frostbite surely allowed them to add more details to their characters.

Looking promising so far. Now that you mention it I think he's old enough to have been apart of the Krogan Rebellion. How many Asari did he bang when they raped and pillaged asari colonies.

With the bones on his armour, I feel like he needs a giant warhammer like the Krogan Warlord in ME3MP to complete the look. Something that could double as both a ceremonial staff and has the practical use of being able to bludgeon people into a messy pulp.

what if he turns out to be our field medic
Imagine that a Krogan that alleviates your pain
He'll use natural medicines to heal you. Stuff he learned living alone in the wilderness of Tuchanka
