No Krogan ever had an holier than thou personality, nor the need for it. They are not self-righteous: they left behind morality for the basic needs of survival millennia ago.
They are carved from acid winds, howling deserts, radioactive rubbles, poisonous water: no Krogan worth its weight would ever dream of dreaming while the world around changes. They would have been there, shaping with marrow and blood the changes. They would have been there, to grasp the brave new world at its ushering, just to destroy it in its infancy so that the next could come.

The bald elf and its lies are at most a model for a Turian.

Salarians have minds like a maze: they don't need to lie. They talk you to death.
The Asari too don't lie usually: too proud. Or they try to mate with you.
But the Turians... they would go to any lengths to protect their "Honor".

There is always the bad apple that spoils the basket.
Still, while they bend truth to suit their needs, Asari don't usually lie in your face. While arrogant, they respect truth, intellectually at least.
Turians... not that much.
