I just found this show.
The most important lesson I learned from it is that a good goblin is a dead goblin.

I just found this show. The most important lesson I learned from it is that a good goblin is a dead goblin. The amount of outrage due to Goblin Slayer is astonishing, and facepalm worthy.
Not everything is meant to be handy dandy flowers. The Goblins are meant to be repulsive, vile creatures.

All you need to do now is transition into the world of light novels and your corruption will be complete And on that note I recommend Cross Infinite World's stuff. they're putting out some pretty good novels like The Champions of Justice and the Supreme Evil and Dawn of the Mapmaker. www.crossinfworld.com/supreme_ruler_of_evil.html

Mobile Suit Gundam set in the UC ( with the exception of Double Zeta ) The ' new ' Origin stories flesh out the characters and story. Also Legend of Galactic Heroes, the 1988 version not the new remake from this year. Old school anime

I'm a bit of a casual when it comes to watching anime, as I'm not into watching TV. (Though visual novels and JRPGs are my jam.) I read some manga too, but not as much as I used to. But here's a list of some of the anime/manga/light-novels I've lost hours of my life on: - Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (the series that got me into anime, though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it's quite bad. The manga is slightly better but it's never had an official English release. It's pretty bad even for 80s shounen standards, but that said if you like dogs and have a day to burn through then maybe.)
- Ginga Densetsu Weed (the sequel to GNG, the anime is much much much worse than GNG (great for memeing though), but the manga is way better than the manga/anime of GNG. If you speak Japanese or Finnish I might actually recommend it. Like GNG it doesn't have an official English release, but you might be able to find some scanlations online, but I wouldn't count on it.)
- Kekkaishi (it's generic shounen but I love it. I mean a wanna-be pastry chef and an obviously homosexual ghost dog fighting demons? I'm in. The anime is surprisingly accurate, but the issue is that it only covers the first 13 volumes of the manga, when there's something like 35 volumes.)
- Ouran Highschool Host Club (a guilty pleasure, but I really did enjoy it. Though I can't say whether or not I preferred the anime or the manga. The anime was much more comedic, but the manga had actual character development and growth. A tough choice.)
- Toradora! (I binged it all in one go/one day, I never do that. I think that should speak volumes for it.)
- No. 6 (I have a lot of opinions on this series. It's like a really weird dystopian BL where the main villain is bees? (Sera would be proud). Honestly I would not watch the anime if you're getting into the series. It cuts off early and gives a really bad alternative ending. The light-novels are definitely the best version, but the manga is also pretty good. I'd recommend only watching the first episode of the anime as the beginning is best in the anime, but then switch to another media.)
- My Hero Academia (I actually haven't read the manga for this one (though I have the first volume), but the anime did make me cry. I think it's getting the recognition that it deserves.)
- Fullmetal Alchemist (a few years back I got the entire manga series for dirt cheap, I ended up binging all 27 volumes in a week. It's definitely popular for a reason, and I'm glad I read it. I've actually never seen either anime version, though I tried to watch Brotherhood, but again, not really a fan of TV.)
- Corpse Party (I hated this anime. It's so bad. I'm only mentioning it because I loved Blood Covered (the game), and was so disappointed by the anime. It's just a gore-fest, no character devlopment, interpersonal relationships kept to a minimum, things that made the game more than just another generic horror game. Not saying that the game isn't also a gore-fest, but it had more depth than that. The manga wasn't too bad though, definitely a middle-ground for all the media.)
- Wolfs Rain (one of the first animes I watched. I haven't seen it in years, but I remember crying a lot at the end. I actually don't remember a lot of the middle part of the series. I actually really need to go back and rewatch it as an adult. Though I do remember the ending, and I'm still sure that I'll still cry during it.)

Wonder if there is any thruth to the rumours (if they even qualify as rumours) that Netflix will do a Berserk adaptation.

Two blasts from the past getting new series:
20 years later they are using the same studio and voice actors, so it really feels like they picked up where they left off. Except cell phones are no longer the size of bricks and Tomoyo no longer carries a giant camcorder. In a way it's almost too similar.
The animation style and VAs are different in this version. I'm going to miss Tomokazu Seki.

Anybody else here watched Monster? I'm almost at the ending, and I just can't see what's the deal with this anime, why everybody loves it.
It goes for way to long, it's boring with so many unnecessary fillers, the villain has almost supernatural annoying powers which are never explained

The only Anime I’m watching currently is That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime.
Normally I dislike Issekai anime that devolve into harem shenanigans, but this one sets the right goofy tone with a lead character whose first concern when dying is to make his friend swear to destroy his hard drive before his family can see what’s on it.

It goes for way to long, it's boring with so many unnecessary fillers, the villain has almost supernatural annoying powers which are never explained Maybe its the early tension or presentation that people really liked but its overrated imo. i imagine some people that like it never even got to the ending I finally managed to finish it last year after putting it on hold for years. lot of fans kept saying "its long but it will be worth it" but while the fillers technically "matter" overall it is not worth wasting our time and the antagonist is not even close to the person he is being compared with. perhaps if they didn't raise my expectation i would have enjoyed it more.
