Man, I'm jealous of your ability of staying away from here. It's a part of my daily ritual in the morning after checking my email and facebook, while drinking my coffee. 

We got lucky with Cullen, lol. The men in DA are more liked than in ME sadly. Just imagine DA with only the LI originally meant for straight females (BW and IB. No hate, did them both, but imagining DA without Cullen or Solas is kinda meh for me)

I'm on that hype train with you and agree it is sloow, but we'll get there, we'll pick up speed and more peeps, lol

I wished it was for a happier reason but I just have less energy/stress-tolerance after being sick a few years ago so I get to stretch out the gaming a lot. Saving active gaming for good days when there is a surplus. It really sucked for a while, man I was moping over not being able to enjoy my favorite hobby as before but then I decided that I just have to be adult about it and plan for it. Sometimes being a grown up can be a real pest, lol 

On the bright side, I am still as goofy and upbeat as before and boy does this make for really really good PT:s then I do game. If I'm committed to playing a rpg we plan around it at home. I do a little bit of stuff at home to allow for gaming and down-time. Usually a PT comes after say "major-spring-cleaning-of-sailboat-and-waxing-everything". We take turns being in charge at home and doing hobby-stuff. So fewer PT:s but it is really focused and fun when I play. So I will wait and wait, just get Eos and a little bit of thet start out of the way while I wait.
 At least my husband is having a very good time, told him to enjoy himself now because when the dlc hit I will teleport to Andromeda and stay there for a month   


On DA:I without Cullen.... IHHH.... does not compute. Poor Blackwall but I just haven't been able to romance him. It wasn't his fault, there was just some really really bad timing between the game and rl. Oh my, I can laugh about it now. I was very very much pregnant when DA:I came out. There had been a little bit of worry with kiddo at that point and I was a little bit rattled. Husband set me down at the computer for some nice gaming to get me to think of something else. I was playing the game completely blind for the first time and was set to romance Blackwall. So there I am, with a teacup and paper tissues. Getting into the game and completely forgetting about the real world left behind, that is one of the things I really love about my BioWare-games. It was going really really well with the game and the romance, until he mentions the carriage, with the kids singing and then they died...... That ended that days gaming session and it definitely ended the romance, lol.

Oh Blackwall, at some point I will try to romance him again.

Oh no worries      I just had a little bit of time so I ended up writing and then writing a bit more. Or at least I meant it to be a glad post, that's the difficulty with talking over text, had we been face to face you would have know I was having a good time. Never fear, I like solving problems!




Elcor-writing: This is written with happy thoughts!

Guess I haven't really settled into my new way of playing yet. Still feel like I would like to do more, run more PT:s, try going up a notch in difficulty, spend more time on the forum talking about stuff. However, slowly exploring Andromeda works very well with the patches so I got that going for me. The net is great for keeping in touch with people and having a good time at a pace that works for oneself. So so glad that I found BioWare. Having a good time in the forum, chatting about games is one of the things that really makes me glad. I used to be here daily but now I play the forum game more actively while I game and then more seldom in between.

I hope they will hit us with dlc soon and that it will be a big story-dlc and that we will get to spend some more time with the crew. Little things there and there, and a little bit extra for each romance. Going into the water in mech/submarine in Leviatan for ME3 had the LI showing concern for Shepard and such things makes me go    I was decidedly less impressed with Jaal not reacting when poor Ryder died. Now I know that all the LI:s stay silent at that point, putting a very very brave face on perhaps? Will do that quest much earlier in the story next time, just so I don't end up with that situation again.

SilentK -- I literally had my toddler sleeping in my lap when the reveal happened. I mean, everything stopped right there as I processed the gravity of the situation. I eventually alt tabbed out to find out more details on his involvement, if he had personally put a blade to those children because that was going to be the dealbreaker. After I got my answers, I thought about it and decided to keep going because on a personal level, I understood the freezing up because I reacted the same way in the shock of the moment. On a player level, I played a thug dwarf so I wasn't in the position for moral grandstanding. On a consumer level, I loved that they dared to go that far with the storyline. I really liked how they explored the overall Orlesian masked theme in Blackwall's personal story (and to different extent, with Solas as well).

This is probably why I like the writing approach for Liam because his story also involves good intentions with (potentially) bad consequences. What if pirates did get the codes? Makes some of the other companion missions seem a bit sterile in comparison, you know?

I want Scout Harding!

I know I'm in the minority, but I never got the appeal of Scout Harding. Dagna is more interesting to me. As far as the human men in the Dragon Age series being more liked by the player base, I will beg to differ. Alistair and Anders went through their fair share of ridicule and "banished him like a hot potato"/"stuck my knife in his back as soon as I could" hate. Inquisition human males did fare better. I was a Blackwallmancer first off. I never got the same hate vibe from the community as I got with Alistair and Anders. Going to give Cullen a try this go around, but honestly, I wanted my Amell to be able to have the romance honors. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be.

Solas, like Liam, was so well written, that I never saw it coming and that made him AWESOME. My poor Lavellan was devastated. I love Solas and DAI for that reason, if any.
