Well they did say Liam is black so I think these make more sense? Unless they made a black guy with European hair, which would just look awful. Bioware please don't :l

It's funny that I wasn't even thinking of the CC process when I made the barbershop joke, but I'm 100% in agreement with all of the posts it elicited. Both an improved CC, featuring better angles and lighting, and in-game editing are long overdue.

@knightenchanter, those hairstyles are great. The third image is the type of hair I've been sort of dreaming of for a female PC, just with the curls all over the head. Getting any of these styles in the CC would be amazing. I definitely think they all look like reasonable possibilities for Liam, though sadly less so for the CC.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about romancing him yet, but he sounds like a cool space bro at the very least. He could easily be the Garrus to our Shepard, if played right.

I liked Kaidan's hair, but this is much more complex. Granted, Kaidan's hair was done before 2007, but they've not demonstrated significant progress since then.

They're really proud of Liam's hair, and some of these fit the character icon (primarily the first one). We will soon see.

Lol Game from 2017 will actually have hair physics! I hope it's at least at the same level like Lara Croft ponytail from TR2 (1997)

Also, in terms of hair, we saw Sloane Kelley had that pretty nifty mohawk/cornrow 'do going for her, which gives me the idea we might get some more "outside the norm" hairstyles in Andromeda.

Yeah, Inquisition was basically all "outside the norm" styles I just want a couple of nice looking conventional styles, Bioware! Is that so hard? I'm all for more options for black characters, but I'd like more of a balance between generic and buzzcuts in general, please.

Nah, don't worry, all the unconventional styles will be available to Ryder, but the nice conventional ones will be for NPCs or defaults

Based on past games, anyway. Morrigan's hair, Leliana's hair, Anora/Calpernia's hair, Hawkes' hairs, Cullen's hair, Blackwall's hair/beard, Dorian's hair (though you can come close) and mustache(?), Isabela's hair, Josephine's hair (close again), ME3 Femshep's hair (and other features), Miranda's hair, Ashley's hair, Kelly's hair...

Just to name some off the top of my head

In case it had to be said, I was half-joking with the first sentence. I don't think we'll have the default problem anymore, but I wouldn't be surprised if some NPCs get styles we'll wish we could use. This is especially frustrating since we can use some NPCs' hair, like Varric's, so it's completely arbitrary. You could argue that it's based on uniqueness, but that falls apart fast when an NPC's style is pretty conventional anyway, like Cullen's or Leliana's.

Personally, my approach to this would be to simply let the protagonist use any style. If an NPC shares it, well, that's the player's problem (or not). Odds are no matter which style you use at least one NPC will have it too, anyway. And it's not like NPCs don't share styles with each other, either (Alistair has Cullen's hair, though they're both important characters).

It sort of gives credence to the idea that Liam and Cora might have popular voice actors and they'll be using their faces for the models.
