I'm not sure I follow you. EDI wasn't saying what you thought she said, but others have addressed that. I'm curious as to why you think the mass effect doesn't apply outside the Milky Way? According to the setting, element zero is created when solid matter is altered by the energy of a supernova. Therefore, it will be present throughout the universe. "Dark Energy", as the concept is presented in the game, is also present throughout the universe. Whether or not the species of Andromeda have harnessed the mass effect in their technologies or adapted it biologically is irrelevant. The mass effect is a universal fact. Ryder and friends can count on their tech and biotics continuing to function normally upon leaving the Milky Way. |
