So I've been browsing the ME:A preorders, and I can't seem to find a PC version that's not a digital download! WTF?!
The Deluxe editions of the game (with the diecast and remote controlled car) come with a steelbook case, but no game, and there is no disc for the PC version at all!

The Deluxe editions of the game (with the diecast and remote controlled car) come with a steelbook case, but no game, and there is no disc for the PC version at all! We don't know if there'll be a PC version of the Deluxe editions. There is a PC version of the standard edition, at least, on Gamestop sites: www.gamestop.dk/PC/Games/44913/mass-effect-andromeda although it says PC download on the cover so yeah, it seems like even if there is a disc, the majority of the game is downloaded. Great...

I saw that, but it clearly says "digital download". This is stupid. Even DA:I came with 4 discs in addition to the digital download.

Oh goody! I don't mind, as they usually have an "upgrade to deluxe" option in Origin.

I wonder if I can buy the PC version of the standard edition from Gamestop and have it upgraded to the Deluxe edition on Origin. That way, I could get a "physical" copy and with the cover I like to boot. Does anyone know if that has been possible with other games?

The PC copies usually come with an activation code (what once were cd-keys). That code is usually just a serial for the game, so once it's activated in your account, you can download the game forever after without the discs at all. It's just like buying a digital copy.

They probably think that every PC user in the world must also have a high speed internet connection. Someone should tell them that, sadly, it's not like that.
