Ideally, Cora isn't just a Miranda 2.0 etc. But, if Cora were to share characteristics or traits with another human female character from the OT, whilst still standing on her own as her own character, I'd definitely like to see her eschew Miranda or Kasumi over Ashley. Even Jack. Maybe a dash of Miranda's strength of will, with some of Kasumi's indelible wit, and a hint of Jack's badassery to bring to the boil  So you'd want her to be allegedly racist, in your face religious or a psychopathic criminal? Because those are really the only main character traits Ashley and Jack have that Miranda and Kasumi do not. "Badassery" is first and foremost subjective and each squadmate demonstrated it in their own way. Strength of will is similarly demonstrated in different ways whether it be Ashley's determination to persevere despite the military having it in for her family, Jack just being a survivor or indeed Miranda's drive to succeed. The one unique quality listed thus far is Kasumi's wit. Sorry, that just really seemed like a putdown of Miranda and Kasumi. Because neither Ashley nor Jack posess any positive traits that aren't present in either Miranda or Kasumi. Or are you saying it's better to be what I said above over arrogant/possibly perfectionist or emotionally clingy (just so you don't think I ignore faults in my favorites)? I'm fine with people not liking or hating the hairs, like you. I just don't get the feminist part. It's like my father that says often buzzcut hairstyles are for inmates. I'm expecting worse tbh, especially depending on where on the internet this comes from. I suspect the only reason the d word that rhymes with trike wasn't uttered is because the trailer flat out disproves that by the mutual mackin with Ryder. lol. I don't know about the first two, but that hair definitely deserves all the scorn the internet can muster. Hell, I'll even go one up on that: I have zero trouble picturing her in an SS uniform. #godwin #shotsfired Alright, I'll try to talk about something other than her hair. Well, I'm not sure how it was in other countries, but in Poland it was unheard of anyone other than inmates and soldiers to have buzzcut. That only changed when communist rule collapsed. I had my hair between 1 and 3 milimeters my whole life (nowdays it's always 1mm, I went shorter with time) and my grandmother often made the inmate remark when I was younger. As for Cora's hair being femminist, well, I can get their reasoning behind it. Her hair isn't usual and a fair share of women that I've seen wearing hair simillar to this one were in fact femminists. Still, it holds no more power than generalization. Just like women who have piercing above their mouths are often single mothers. You can't deny some visual traits can be attached to certain type of people, though never exclusively of course. |
