Cynical maybe but given the amount of other nonsensical and unnecessary lore inconsistencies we're being expected to swallow it's the only thing that makes any sense.

I was thinking to post it here (given the fact is a theory related to her character), so I'm glad you did it before Hanako Ikezawa

I'm hoping that Dr Lexi and Peebee have some conflict at first. I don't really want it to be related to asari culture or anything, just general stuff that might bug someone. Maybe Peebee is making Dr Lexi's job as a doctor harder in some way (maybe she's used to dealing with her own medical needs since she's been on her own or maybe she's been moving stuff around to make room for her research which is inconveniencing the medical staff). Perhaps Dr Lexi is also making Peebee's mission harder in some way (getting rid of some dangerous remnant tech for the sake of crew's health).
But neither are willing to budge for their own reasons (that make sense, not just doing petty stuff out of spite). Then, eventually, Ryder has to investigate the conflict and decide whether to side with someone or tell them to just work it out on their own.

Totally. An interaction between two big NPCs Asari it's something I felt lacking in the past trilogy. Only with Quarians we have that kind of interaction, where you are a little more than an observant and you have to sit and listen in order to get the cultural details.

I love friendship stories and I'm pretty intrigued by Lexi's character. She has big shoes to fill (it's that the correct Human English expresion?) because Chakwas was a great character (although she had very limited dialogue in three games). If Lexi interacts way more than Chakwas with the rest of the crew, Lexi will be memorable pretty quickly.
I picture Lexi as a very patient and nurturing character. 

I think we will get a really neat look into the asari in this game since we have three points of view among our crew. We have PeeBee who is the counter, Lexi who is most likely the more traditional, and Cora who is the outsider who was invited in.

Yeah, I picture her being like that as well.

Yeah, I can see that. PeeBee feels that way, and between that and her usual personality that can cause friction with Lexi(since everyone will be eye-rolling her at the start apparently). But as time goes on, they both see there is more to each other than the negatives things thought and a friendship forms.

She's built primarily for support, so she complements pretty much anyone well.

I was planning on having her in my party either way, but this definitely makes that all the sweeter. 

Drack is a close-range fighter as well, and so is Vetra with her improved armour (wouldn't be all that useful for ranged combat). As it seems Peebee is the only one who is not rushing to the front lines, maybe Jaal, too. I wonder what the actual gameplay will be like, sounds somewhat unbalanced from the little we know.
