I played them all in the order that they came out: Ashes, Leviathan, Omega and then Citadel since I played each one right away. I don't believe I've ever did that in any of my playthroughs

From Ashes: After Manae, since he can't be used on that mission anyway, I prefer to recruit everyone as early as I can and I like to bring EDI, which Javik snarks about because "synthetics." I did complete it with Kaidan once, but I want to have Javik for as much of the game as possible; he has a lot of content and I love bringing him to meet Grunt. Omega: After Coup. I do one side mission after the Coup (namely Noveria), lock-in LI, and then shuttle off with Aria. For revenge tactical reasons. Citadel: After Thessia. I want Tali on board and because of the "forced vacation/Normandy repairs" I like it better toward the end of the game when both Shepard and the Normandy have some wear and tear. I do the main story and then shuffle in the squad meet-ups and AAA matches (because I actually do like completing all of the challenges ) with the rest of the game. I always do the party before Cronos. Leviathan: I still can't figure out how I like to play this. I've done it all at once or with breaks. I usually do it after Thessia? Because I guess by that point Shepard would be more desperate to chase a "legend" and aside from Horizon there aren't any more main missions.

From Ashes: If I choose to do it (sometimes I don't), I do it early on--after obtaining Garrus and doing the first N7 mission.
Omega: After the coup attempt on the Citadel. It makes sense to me for it to take place after that.
Leviathan: Before the main mission with the quarians.
Citadel: After the main campaign or before Chronos. It depends on my mood.

From Ashes - I will play usually play this one very early in the game to get Javik right away. If I'm really interested in taking Ashley, Kaidan or Tali on it, I'll do it right after the Citadel Coup.
Omega - I usually do this one before the Citadel Coup right after completing her Citadel assignments.
Leviathan - I usually do it right after Thessia.
Citadel - I usually do the entire DLC, including the party, just before Chronos. I've honestly never tried doing the combat portion early and then doing the meetups with the crew and party later because I honestly thought that if you did the combat before doing Horizon, you wouldn't get an email request to meet up with Miranda afterwards. Sounds like doing the combat early and then staggering the meet ups as you do the different regular missions with the later crew (like Grunt and Miranda) and then doing just the party just before Chronos would make a lot of sense. I'll have to give that a try sometime. I don't like doing the Citadel Party after the end of the game because Shepard being so pensive about it likely being his/her last party makes the most sense just before the final battle.

Yeah, try it. The meetups spread out nicely. And with those you romanced (if any), it's not multiple scenes closely bundled either. So that kind of works for pacing too. I like Javik early too. I would have preferred him integrated like they planned with the VS mission, but if I can't have that, I at least like him to interact with the Normandy more. It's the next best thing. So I do it after Mordin now. Just because Mordin's mission introduces the Atlas and Engineers properly first.

On xbawks: From Ashes, Leviathan, Omega, Citadel. And I had bought an played Leviathan before beating the first time. In fact Leviathan was where I met lolbanshees for the first time (making the ardat-yakshi monastery sorta anticlimactic). However I had not yet installed the Extended Cut, so the ending was even more disappointing because of even MORE loose ends that weren't tied up.
On Origin? I paid for Javik because EA needs money, but all the other DLCs ARE TOO FIRETRUCKING EXPENSIVE AND COST MORE THAN ME3 ITSELF WTF EA.

I do Leviathan after Rannoch.
Omega whenever.
Citadel isn't done until I finish the game and reload the save. I ignore all the little inconsistencies and just headcannon that it's after the events of the Reaper War.

From Ashes : After Citadel Coup, so I could bring Kaidan back to Eden Prime. I have picked him up before Menae but I like it better when Javik say I have more confidence than fear and I'm going to win the war.
Omega : After Rannoch, before meeting with Asari councilor. Aria had an eye on Shepard after she prevented a Cerberus coup and its time to liberate the heart of Terminus system.
Citadel : There's two part; Citadel Conspiracy and Citadel Party. I start Conspiracy after I'm done with freeing Omega. I do Party before Cronus station. I could understand why people would want to play this DLC late especially if they want to end the game happily with their LIs.
Leviathan : There's three part mission; Mahavid, Namakli and Despoina. Normally I do the whole DLC after Horizon but its the only DLC that doesn't have specific place in the narrative except that it make Vandetta talk on Thessia a bit redundant. I like that it gives me more planet to scan and a line with starchild that call it BS.

This has been covered on BSN before but oh look, they're nuking it, so let's go again.... What's your favourite way to tackle the DLCs in ME3? I do Omega the earliest, either as soon as I get it or not too long afterward. It's not my favorite dlc, mainly because it separates me from my team. It's almost like ME2 all over again in that respect. However, I like the war assets it brings so I don't want to avoid it. Next would be From Ashes. This one actually used to be first until I discovered I could have Kaidan with me. (It's always Kaidan.) I wait until after the Cerberus coup attempt and then hit this one. I also can then take Kaidan to Tuchanka to rescue the turian squad and disarm the bomb. Leviathan is up next. This one I often intersperse throughout since nothing is immediate. I don't really need it for anything other than the war assets but I enjoy it. I like the LI responses to Shepard's reckless behavior. It also delves more into the lore of the series, something less true of the other dlc. (From Ashes, I guess, but I'm not as invested in Protheans as I am the Reapers.) Last is Citadel, which comes after Horizon. I like the maximize the attendees of the party and the meetups with the current and former crew who just can't get enough of me. I know, storywise, it has flaws in even existing, but I like that it's a last hurrah before going off to face certain death. The get to spend some quality time together. For a forced shore leave, I probably would have not done all the meetups and stuck with the party instead. It could be done in a single night of leave, or however long space tire rotation takes. I also didn't mind the clone stuff, though I kind of wish there had been a way to actually save it. The archives were also great because we got into lots of history of Citadel events.

Well I hate DLCs where I can't have my squaddies And I don't really like Aria Nyreen is a good character though. So glad you said that! I'm not keen on Aria either, but I feel like I'll get lynched if I say it out loud. You're definitely not alone. I suppose if I were full renegade I wouldn't mind letting loads of civilians die (same with Zaeed in ME2) but that's not the case. Just never really cared for her but like what she can bring to the table. Also like Nyreen better. Wish she could have survived. However, her legacy lives on. All you have to do is note Aria saying "We are Omega". That's a big change.

1) From Ashes, early in the game to acquire Javik 2) Omega, after the coup 3) Leviathan, progressing through out the game 4) Citadel, after Horizon
That's how I do it.

(1) From Ashes - Before Menae, I just like to have all squadmate a recruited as soon as possible. (2) Omega - After the Citadel attack, feels good to take the fight to Cerberus right after this. (3) Leviathan - After Rannoch, seems best to save such a big lore reveal until a little late in the game and I prefer to maintain the sense of urgency after Thessia. (4) Citadel -I always do this one just before Chronos station, when everything else is done.

From Ashes: I do this near the start of the game. Either before or after Priority: Sur'Kesh. Leviathan: After Priority: Thessia but before Priority: Horizon. Omega - After Priority: The Citadel II but before Priority: Perseus Veil. Citadel - Post-Game. The tone doesn't fit anything else.
