They had that option in DA:I to choose what to say in response to party banter in the field, which for the game's many flaws that was a pretty cool idea. It's like they took the worst aspects of dialogue in games, threw it into the oven and gave us the abomination that resorted. Unfortunately, I have to agree. It sucks because I do like Ryder. I love Vetra. I like Peebee and Kallo and Suvi and Reyes and whatnot. However....

What I personally find a bit stupid Ryder does not interfere or says to Liam that he should drop it or STFU in my case Scott and Vetra he remains silent all the time. Sure she is Badass and i love Vetra for it but if someone would talk to my girlfriend like this in the real life I would not remain silent. They had that option in DA:I to choose what to say in response to party banter in the field, which for the game's many flaws that was a pretty cool idea. I loved having that option in DAI, to have your PC say their bit when squadmates bicker, loved that in the Sera romance for example. When her and Viv start fighting again you can back her or tell em both to knock it off. Prefer telling em both to knock it off personally.

Yes and it really stupid to have left it out and for Liam he never leaves the Tempest again with my Scott at the beginning he was a Bro but now I hate him.

This is my 2nd run and like you I rarely used Liam at all. Wanted to bring him around more in this run, to see what I missed, yeah, he'll be warming the bench again.

Soldier or Explorer mostly Soldier but I remain with a profile in a run so I do not change I just love Assault rifles and I play the Explorer as Vanguard with Shoutgun and Assault Rifle support just in case.

Nice. Yea I mained Soldier in the OT but mostly used the sniper rifles so I figured might as well go Infiltrator. I love watching Kett heads explode with headshots lol.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. It sucks because I do like Ryder. I love Vetra. I like Peebee and Kallo and Suvi and Reyes and whatnot. However.... It's sad because I really love this series and this game really tarnished it as a whole. I can't believe I'm saying I will be more cautious about getting the next one if it is made. Agreed. These are the risks when you make an open world game. Why do you think the majority of Mass Effect fans prefer 2 or 3 over 1? It's cuz they went more mission structured (linear) and focused on the characters and story around them. I can only hope the jump from MEA to MEA2 is as big as the one from ME1 to ME2.

Honestly I can handle the open world nature of 1 if the combat was more like 2/3. That is what makes it hard for me to play. But yes I agree I hope whoever is responsible for this mess isn't working on the next one. With the core team that made 2 gone though I can't expect the same quality jump.

If we follow that trend, then MEA2 will get total critical acclaim, then MEA3 will be super polarizing and have an arguably shitty ending.

Well the other problem was the team that made the trilogy is making the new IP. The team that made Andromeda only made Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer. So it was pretty much doomed from the start. I kinda forgive them though, because they gave us Vetra.

I could be wrong though. They said it wouldn't be connected in a trilogy, not that there couldn't be a hypothetical 3rd game set in Andromeda.
