I think Vetra may be one of the only good things Bioware did with this game. I rated the game a 7/10, with a personal 8/10 just because of Vetra. I think the main problem with the game's reception that everyone was expecting a 9 or a 10*. This is an issue with the ratings in general, 7 is still a good game. Initial facial animations aside the gameplay is fun, the open-world is good. A big improvement from DAI but they should have involve the other outposts/worlds, not just Eos. Some characters worked(/have the potential to be great in the long run). The story was a bit lackluster and the pacing was bad but the endgame - gameplay-wise - was great. ME3 should have done something similar. Of course I’ll be a bit stricter with MEA2. A simple 'kay won't do it next time, I want to be amazed! *To be honest the only 9 in the OT was ME2. ME1 - 8, ME3 - 7.

This game was a bad reshash of the first game and I don't know if I want to give bioware any more money for this series.

I'm currently during my 2nd playthrough of ME:A (once again I play as BroRyder. Vetra, be ready) I have to say I enjoy the game a lot more this time around. Simple reason for this is that now that I know they general "layout" of the storyline, which planets offer what, which quests lead me where ect. - I can "plan out" my journey ahead, before I even reach certain areas. Knowing the game from 1st playthrough really helps to mitigate the major problem with this game - that it often feels wide as an ocean, but shallow as a puddle at times (but actually isn't once you learn the game!). Namely, it no longer feels so needlessly vast and no longer makes you feel like it leads you astray whilst exploration. Now that I know what I want to do and when and with whom in my squad, I have a lot better enjoyment of the game. ME:A really is a good game once you play it for the 2nd time (especially after a longer break from the SP). ME:A really is like a steak to savor, but unless you know "how to play it" - you will feel like eating medium rare steak... but the one you really want is either "rare" or "well-done". Heh, what I simply mean by this is that game feels often "off" first time you play it, but starts to "hit the storytelling spot and pace" once you play it for the second time. So the first time around on 1.0.4 patch - it felt like 6,5/10 in terms of enjoyment. Now on patch 1.0.5 and knowing the layout of the game - it feels like a solid 8/10 - I'm really having fun. (I mix a lot of skills from different categories too for cool variety).

Yeah it is really wierd that Vetra is the only turian with a visor in ME:A and the only turian who never takes it off... She should be randomly showing up without it, at least when she is on the Tempest.

I wonder if there is a story reason why, like she has bad eyesight... though I would have though that would be fixable in the future, as it kind of is now. Also, what you said above about replaying with the patch, I enjoyed my first play through, and it was pre patch, and I really can't wait to play it again, if it is anything like the Witcher 3 (which I have only played once, also, before any patches), Bioware may make some big improvements!

I'm a little dissapointed with Vetra.
I know her name says "Turian Smuggler" but... she never actually smuggled anything! There were all these off hand mentions of Vetra going off to "smuggle" things, but none of it ever had anything to do with the plot!
Why is Vetra not deeply involved in the Kadaara Port story line?? or Elaaden? It's TATOOINE amirite? Smugglers generally operate outside the law, and do shady things, and are generally more concerned with their own well being than that of the group... except this one. Vetra is a team player from the jump. Whats the fun in that?
now am I saying that I want Vetra to be a female, turian, Han Solo?... yes. yes i might be saying that.
BUT
if you aren't going to "Go Solo"(aaathankyou)Do SOMETHING. Make me believe you aren't just a stock worker with delusions of grandeur.
Why isn't Vetra an exile? Or at least disillusioned with the nexus and looking for a way to protect herself and her sister by playing both sides in the nexus/exile conflict?. Ryder comes along, she sees her best opportunity for profit in teaming up with the Pathfinder and over the course of the story she is forced to choose between her own fortune and the good of the initiative.
I dunno maybe I'm nitpicking... I just think there were missed opportunities.

Another missed opportunity in a game of missed opportunists.

I disagree, she had plenty of character development. Just needed more romance scenes.

Dammit Bioware, just make Mass Effect: Adventures of Vetra and her not so spikey boyfriend as sequel. Stop toying with wierd concepts and give us more characters with meat, no rubber dolls like the ones we got now.

Hers was one of the better paced romance. Her arc is great. She falls for Ryder because of deeds, not because she's playersexual. The only thing I missed were the 'romance greetings' after the lock and a proper audio for the ftb. As I mentioned it before they should have used the h047c laugh for that too.
