Doesn't seem like he's leaning. He's standing upright next to Vetra, so he is at best of the same height as she...

I think they might've gone to the route of making particular characters having unique height and/or body type.
After all, I don't think it was stated outright that other species don't have differences in terms of height and physique between them. While they obviously  won't make differences for every character (as they're not doing it with humans), they might do that for important npcs and squadmates.

Here's hoping she's a romance option.

Vetra and Drack as squadmates, no contest. She will be my first target for romance as well.

Interesting backstory aside, I also look forward to her banter and such.

That was my favorite squad setup as well.

Now I sorta want Vetra to be the female Turian that Garrus "sparred" with when he was in the military...

Would be even better if we ended up hearing the other side of that story, where Garrus isn't as much of a player as he thought. In reality, she only hooked up with Garrus because he was too uptight and everyone in the squad agreed he desperately needed to get laid. The squad also got tired of him constantly hogging the bathroom while "calibrating his weapon"...

About the female Turian vs male Human height comparison.



I've noticed at the 1:17 - 1:19 portion of the gameplay video, that there are female Turian and human Male standing to each other/human is speaking to the turian lady and she is listerning.

Their height is evidently very much alike, the human at first seems to be a bit smaller, but his head is slightly tilted making him only appear like that.

This can indicate, that:
- male Ryder by default will be taller than his sister (as we clearly see in gameplay trailer, that femRyder is way smaller, than Vetra).
or
- as mentioned in above posts, the unique members of given spieces can have custom height (like Vetra for instance).
or
- almost every character can have random height applied from the outset applicable height gap (from - to) - this would be the best option.
or
- (I wish this will be implemented), we can also determine the height of the Ryder we pick, when we start the game - This would be just GREAT. Wanna romance Vetra as manRyder? Then make him very tall and height issues disappear (should anyone find such disproportion unacceptable in the first place).

Oo, thanks for breaking it down. Well, if it's Sara vs. male Turian that could account for the height difference. Looking at the clip in the second post, it comes right after we see the three of them descending a ramp, so it's possible the perceived height difference there is due to Ryder being further away and at the bottom of the ramp while Vetra is closer and higher.

It seems most likely that Vetra and Drack (at least) are the default ME3 size while Sara is (maybe) shorter than Shepard, because it would take fewer resources than making custom rigs for all the companions and then having to figure out what to do with them during cutscenes (esp. romance cutscenes).

Wonder if Ryder will be able to have tech armour on their arms and legs, or it's only unique to these type of enemies?

I'd rather like to see Sentinels able to customise and upgrade their tech armour. Perhaps extend it to cover our arms, legs and torso, so we have a higher armour rating, but weaker shield strength... or instead have it only covering the torso, so we have less armour, but higher shield strength.
