I agree, I hate it. They're going after the whole " when you try to approach people in real life, you don't know if you'll be able to have a romantic relationship in advance bla bla bla" concept...which is silly when we're talking about banging aliens. Like. WE'RE BANGING ALIENS. WHY IS REALISM A THING HERE. BioWare, please. It's not like they're not going to be data-mined once the EA Access trial goes up anyway. I find it to be silly and it just makes me anxious and frustrated tbh. Actually you kinda know before hand at this day and age. So the realistic thing would be having their sexual preferences or the lack of it in the oficial profiles, with name, planet of origin and so on.... They can try to spin it with anything they want but the fact remains, that this makes absolute no sense. Especially for people that are on minorities and like bioware over other companies because of that said representation. Yes it is highly frustrating when the devs and leaks kept making wholes. I will happy with a lesbian companion and that to me is going to be the bare minimal. Well said! Bloody Well Said! |

Okay, so general update on what has been reported about Vetra's interactions with the Ryders: Spoiler alert, as usual. As I showed in my previous posts the two reviewers, from Kotaku Aus. and MEOdyssey reported selecting a romance dialogue option (not flirt? No way to be sure) with Vetra as Scott. She responded positively. As Ash reported, inviting Scott to come back later. New update from PCGamesN, with Sara and Vetra. "playing as Sara Ryder, we had a flirt option with Vetra during our hands-on preview. She didn't seem too into it though, laughing awkwardly and changing the subject, which means she's either shy or not interested in a same-sex pairing." Bear in mind they all had access to the early game (without Vetra) and mid-game. (All squadmates). Now, Vetra's reaction to Sara was maybe due to the fact she used a flirt option rather than romance? If they're even separated? She might react the same way with Scott, if these are the same options. We need to ask the reviewers if they had several options to choose from. So again, it doesn't add much to what we know. But I wanted to deliver first hand accounts on these updates. We'll see in a few days. Well, I will be mostly ok with Vetra being for MaleRyder but only if Cora is bi. For all we know, she's not even available for Scott. Again, this was only one interaction with one romantic dialogue option.

I'm not worried.  Hell, Sera is gay and it's not like she always responds positively to flirting. I'm going with Cora is straight and Vetra is Bi. If she's indeed a both option (fine, I'm willing to share  ) I hope there is separate content for Scott and Sara. I don't want the DA2 type same scenes and dialogues with swapped models approach (same goes for the other potential 'bi' options). Why wouldn't the scenes be mostly the same? For the record, all of the bisexual LIs in DA2 had variations in dialogue based on Hawke's gender. Isabela and Anders in particular had completely different attitudes towards male and female Hawke. |

Bioware have NEVER given us a starting human bi companion. Cora would have broken that tired af trend and she would have been refreshing as she is the KISA type that so many queer women have been asking Bioware to give us for years. Why is this so hard to do??? Asari are aliens, they are not human. Again, preferences, I don't find Turians attractive in that way, I never will but others do so, and that's cool. Whatever floats your boat and all that. |
