Is it just me or is this a quick turnaround for a movie script? Granted I am sure there will still be edits and stuff and also granted apparently at the height of B5 JMS was pushing out a script a day (week?) so there is that, but on the other hand it just (seems like) yesterday JJ started it again. Well they have been working on this script even when they had Colin Trevorrow. Daisey Ridley reportedly "cried" when she read her arc. So, who knows? I don't know, maybe they had creative differences on how to handle Leia.

I mean I know that Disney didn't frontload their writing for this trilogy but I just wonder how much of Rey's (et alls) character arcs were written and they knew about when forming the story for Episode IX. Again, just my nagging concern that they will just change everything because 'controversey!'

I would guess that this is a very good sign, or a very VERY bad omen. Either Abrams saw episode 8 & decided almost immediately to go in another direction, or he has already finished the script because he wants to make episode 9 another endurance test for the audience i.e. Plenty of SJW pandering, Feminist tropes and horribly insulting ideas for EVERYONE!!

I've gotta ask. Why the Sith in Disney Wars don't have yellow eyes? Lore answer: Because they ARE NOT Sith lords Real answer: Because K. Kennedy et al. want to distance themselves from the prequels as much as possible I hope we get at least ONE real Sith in an anthology movie soon. Perhaps in the Wiess/Benioff project?

I wonder if there were any last minute rewrites due to backlash? I wonder if I give a fuck? Uh... nope Also, on the Sith topic; the reason is not that simple. People often say that when one surrenders to the Dark side, gives in to their hatred & rage, the Sith eyes are a symptom of that submission. It is perhaps a bit of the opposite (kind of). BTW I really don't care if this is "canon" or not according to the Disney clowns. Not even a little... The Sith were originally a species, who had many forms & uses for the Force. They usually corrupted and bent the Force to their own will, sometimes with spectacular, ground-breaking results. Different legends will account for different Powers/abilities, but the main theme is one of Original Sin, as in; the Sith purebloods were the first group of beings who embraced & wallowed in the Dark side of the Force. To such a degree that they altered the VERY NATURE of the Dark side itself. Was this a result of some type of Sith alchemy or an irreversible crack in the facade of the Force? Can it be avoided or altered? Can someone (like Ben Solo) ever truly master the Dark Side without using some Sith techniques? These questions will (hopefully) probably never be answered

Granted I am sure there will still be edits and stuff and also granted apparently at the height of B5 JMS was pushing out a script a day (week?) so there is that, but on the other hand it just (seems like) yesterday JJ started it again. Yeah, the difference there is JMS knew what the hell he was doing. Literally, the man had the arc planned out since the 80s, maybe even earlier. He knew what he wanted to say and he knew how long it would take him to say it. The hacks at Disney probably can't decide on their breakfast order. That being said, I will admit parts of the EU could've also benefited from this kind of planning. Also, on the Sith topic; the reason is not that simple. Can it be avoided or altered? Can someone (like Ben Solo) ever truly master the Dark Side without using some Sith techniques? These questions will (hopefully) probably never be answered wat Is this some more Mickey bullshit? The Sith race has very little to do with the Order as we know it, even though they are now conflated. Initially they were just a bunch of primitives (a slave race of the Rakata, if I recall) that while strong with the dark side, were mostly tribal. This worked both ways, as they were more honorable and likely to fight fair than the Jedi exiles who took them over. Once the exiles arrived, both Sith culture and the species themselves were twisted and bred out until only the traits and values of the exiles remained. The term "pureblood" is actually an ironic misnomer as teh purebloods you linked (i.e. the ones by the time of TOR) are actually hybrids, and unnatural ones at that (original Sith and humans are not genetically compatible, it was through alchemy that they blended). Though Sith appearance (red skin, tendrils etc) is prized, there is nothing left of that species, apart from their sorcery/achemy, which the Sith Orders have improved over the years, and a general aesthetic. I'm not one to SJW, but you want to talk appropriation, this is one of the most potent examples that never happened. As to "Sith eyes", yes I think the accepted answer is still "general corruption of the dark side", though here I would agree one doesn't have to be beholden to it, if it doesn't work for the story for some reason. Whether you say some people "corrupt differently" or are able to hide it, I think you could get around it. This is not an endorsement of any Mickey nonsense though. Their disdain for canon and wish to launder it is well known, and insufferable.

If you actually go by what the Sith themselves claim, there is no submission. Their every emotion, their rage, lust, fear and terror are simply a battery. Conversely the Force itself does not rule them, they rule themselves, but this where you have the separation, the distancing between a Sith Master and Beserker who can merely tap into the Dark Side. Because I believe there have been Sith who actually achieved that apex.
