What the fuck are you even talking about? Yes, yes you and your fucking Millennial bullshit that we haven't heard from you from the millionth time. Its because it's such an awful scene. Enough with your goddamn Millennial bullshit. Your really gonna complain about using to much technology on a goddamn FORUM?! The önly reasön yöu dönt like that scene is because yöur sexism töwards pansexuals. First see the movie. This shit again...It's in middle of a firefight. Its overdone L3 and Lando's relationship at the end was overdone. You know I never once called you a racist or sexist. Hell, I even tried to defend that Lucasfilm isn't pointing the finger at you. Why did you go there?

Star Wars drama is the best drama So, to those that have seen it, should I go out of my way to see Solo this weekend? These next few days are crammed for me, and I'll only make the time for it now if I know its well worth it. I am still gonna see it either way, just whether its sooner rather than later is up in the air.

That said, it's a fun Summer movie. That's it.

I would do a victory dance, if it wasn't so anticlimactic.
I also would do a victory dance, if I felt like I had won anything through the death of Star Wars. But I haven't, we all have simply lost.
So, I have no victory. No will to dance. I do however see an opportunity for someone, maybe me. Maybe you.
The "great story" is on discount, and has been devalued greatly. Nature abhors a vacuum. Thus, there is a void that needs filling.
I mostly write post-apocalyptic fantasy-fi.

It's a side-story, competently made. If you have a crammed weekend it's probably not worth messing your schedule for, but it's worth seeing another weekend on the big screen. (you'll need to be comfortable being spoiled if you go anywhere near the internet in the meantime)

Was it supposed to be satire? I really could not tell. Really. Just a theory from a humble man... There is quite a bit of satire with L3 which is pretty damn hilarious, right up until that scene, and then its like... uh... wut? Probably seemed longer than it was. ...also, kinda messed up on a whole 'nother level for Lando given that L3's neural cortex, or whatever, was made part of the Millenium Falcon, and then Lando lost it in a card game to Han.
On another note, I'm surprised the story didn't throw in some more classic Harrison Ford expressions for Han like... The glare!

In other words: There's a 20 something second cameo of a cool guy who didndu nuffin rung, everything else is trash. "So did you watch Solo, Oni?" Funny you ask that, dear reader, well..

*Cough* So, the other problem with the new Solo movie is that it is largely visually dark and dreary, and simply not that pleasant to look at. Aside from the train hijack sequence, and the desert planet finale, the movie largely takes place indoors in dreary dark rooms, or outdoors where it is simply dreary.
This movie even managed to make the Kessel Run through the Maelstrom, in outer space, seem claustrophobic, which takes work given that Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan is already an object example of a battle in the middle of a smoky Nebula that STILL looks absolutely gorgeous.
On the flip side, Kira's turn at the end appears to be an attempt to free Han of reprisal from the Crimson Dawn gang. This makes her character's decision much more... er… noble. Kinda tragic, really, since I'm not sure Han understood.
I disagree 100%, the film has gorgeous cinematography. It's issues come from writing & set-pieces, not composition Corellia is MEANT to be dreary, as it's a polluted shipyard planet. Also, the majority of the movie's settings are indoors, other than the beach & epilogue when Han out-cheats Lando (which was kinda tropical I believe)

(you'll need to be comfortable being spoiled if you go anywhere near the internet in the meantime) I already spoiled the one cameo for myself, and thus far most of the spoilery talk I've lightly taken a peek at elsewhere talks about him. So I'm not too too worried about getting something spoiled. Thanks for the input everyone.

Just saw it. Like The Last Jedi, there were chunks of it that could have been taken out with no impact. Namely, L3. New Lando would have been solid without L3. With L3, he's just creepy. Also, marauder turned freedom fighting ginger. That was some WTF? level nonsense.
Also, the timing was whack. I thought it was pre-A New Hope, but it turns out it was Pre-Phantom Menace? That makes no sense. The Empire technically did not exist prior to EP3. What...
But, I did not find it overly bad. Wasn't good, but wasn't shit. Not nearly as obnoxious and disrespectful as TLJ, but still annoying (DAMN YOU L3!). Though I have been thoroughly anti-hyping myself. I'd give it 5/10 to a 6/10. Save your money for Deadpool or Infinity War.

C'mon man, everbody knows it takes place ~ a decade before episode 4
"Solo: A Star Wars Story, or simply Solo, is a 2018 American space Western film directed by Ron Howard and based on the Star Wars character Han Solo. It was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the second of the Star Wars anthology films, following 2016's Rogue One. A stand-alone installment set prior to the events of A New Hope, it explores the early adventures of Han Solo and Chewbacca, who also meet a young Lando Calrissian, as they are involved in a heist within the criminal underworld."

The Star Wars trilögies are made decades apart and they feel very different fröm eachöther while still being in the same universe. Sö yöu have basically three separate trilögies but are all suppösed tö be linked tögether. Which basically makes three separate fan bases. I judge the mövies fröm the starting pöint öf the ÖT. Söme fans didnt cöme in until the prequels. Öthers are just nöw fans fröm this new trilögy.

They'd go to "forever 21", guys like me would go to the clearance isle at Target. It saddens me to hear people who grew up in the post 2000 decades talk about how "Nerdy" they are, as being into geek stuff (Dark fantasy, Sci-Fi, videogames, comics etc.) is totally acceptable and banal today. In the 80s and early 90s, I would routinely get bullied or my ass kicked for this kind of hobby. Yes, of course many people "define" nerds differently. The last fucking thing I want is to argue semantics with any of you guys. My point is; kids today aren't Nerdy by MY understanding of the term. They are simply allowed to be more open & honest about themselves and their likes/dislikes. They just have it a bit too easy I suppose. This is true of many things when comparing generations, however
