Final thought on TLJ: The entire movie is a participation award. Real life: some people are smarter than others. Some have great physical talents. Some people are fucking stupid. Disney Wars Jake: yes, you too can be a Jedi, because everyone is special. ... Bloodline may or may not have something to do with it, I would say it probably doesn't. Hate to break it to you, young-uns, but not everyone can be a Jedi. Attachments are forbidden amongst Jedi (at least prequel) so bloodline is not important to be a Jedi. So, the Jedi kidnap kids to maintain their order.

There's no vow of celibacy for the Jedi. 2) Cloning technology is clearly a thing in the SW universe as well. Though in the old EU canon that was not a guarantee of Force-Sensitivity.

I can't remember wasn't their an episode/arc in the Clone Wars that dealt with what Jedi do with Force-kids. My reasoning for the "kidnap kids" is when Qui-Gon says "had he been born in the Republic we would've identified him earily."

Well, in the old EU at least, being Force Sensitive did not mean you were dragooned into the Jedi Order. Nomi Sunrider was Force Sensitive, but refused to be trained until well into adulthood. And she was married to a Jedi! I take Qui Gon's comment as meaning if Anakin had been in the Republic, and identified, he'd have more (and better) options than on Tatooine.

And I loved seeing Yoda. Different strokes. Yeah, there's the rub. I loved seeing Yoda too, even though he looked weird and was not as well done as in any movie beforehand. Then he started talking, I loved hearing his voice. Then I started listening and watching, and Yoda is poking you on the shoulder, smacking butts, lighting fires.... You say different strokes. Yes, underdeveloped minds need different strokes I suppose. There is no logical consistency in any of the movie. It is a poorly written shit show, and I do truly believe that anyone that enjoyed it without any strong criticisms, is not a smart person.

Why is not allowed for some people to just enjoy something without getting their intelligence insulted?

I also gave an out. You can enjoy something without thinking it is actually good. A Phantom Menace is a good example. I enjoyed it, and I was disgusted by it. I recognized the flaws and was able to look past them. If this is how you enjoy TLJ, I support that and have nothing mean to say.

You can enjoy something without thinking it is actually good. A Phantom Menace is a good example. I enjoyed it, and I was disgusted by it. I recognized the flaws and was able to look past them. I didn't enjoy it. Once I saw toddler Darth Vader being more proficient with technology than seasoned adults, I was already losing it. When midichlorians became a thing? I was done. Hell, even the sequels knew better than to touch on that.
