Here's a great video explaining why Luke is a great hero: Disagree with the analysis that "he's not the hero of the story". Well, he's A hero of the story, just not the one who fixes everything. He's the catalyst that brings people together and inspires them to become better than they thought they could be. Which is EXCTLY the type of hero needed to redeem Vader. His Hero's Journey was to discover that while telekinesis, precognition, and a laser sword are certainly useful tools, inspiring others is where it's really at. It's a shame DISNEY Wars so undermined this facet of his character.

Where are all the people here to call her misogynistic for criticizing Rey as a bad character? Including some people on this board. Crickets? What I thought....

The Jedi Order isn't prone to white savior complex because they only act in the interest in preserving their dominance against the Sith, and the Republic's rule and have been known to tolerate societal issues like slavery on Tatooine because it kept the ruling elite content with the Republic's authority. Also the authors conflate physical violence and mental manipulation as toxic masculine traits which is sexist in of itself but the authors are ignorant of the fact that the Jedi order has been widely known to peacefully resolve disputes. This is why Qui Gon Jinn was bought on as a negotiator to settle the TF and Naboo feud, and only failed because Palpatine had already sabotaged the negotiations in his bid to destroy the Jedi Order. No shit. If you can't use the force you can't be a jedi, but that didn't stop the order from employing non force sensitives in positions to maintain the temple or their equipment/vehicles. A person's bloodline isn't the sole determiner of their force potential because non force sensitives can be conceived by force sensitives while the Skywalker family is an exception only due to Lucas' thematic use of allusions to messianic figures like Jesus, King David/Solomon etc. With the accusation of racism you can arguably make this a case for the Disney Trilogy's treatment of Finn and Poe, but using these blanket accusations for the entire franchise is a clear example of revisionism and gaslighting. Jabba the Hutt was a degenerate who engaged in arms, drugs (why Jabba feuded with Han), slave and sex trafficking (Twi'lek slave). It's in character for Jabba to take advantage of a captured female he believes he owns, but he messed with the wrong person, and he payed the price. This is just false. The only arguable example of this is Jar Jar Binks' performance by Ahmed Best but it was revealed in an interview that the character's accent was conceptualized by the actor and not George Lucas... archive.nerdist.com/jar-jar-binks-actor-talks-about-why-backlash-was-so-hard-on-him/Seriously?

It's too late we're past the point of no return. The Scientific American unironically published a commie hit piece slandering Star Wars because they couldn't appropriate the word Jedi.
