If Zayne didn't steal Malak's space elf waifu then life could have been different for him. so is that why Revan sliced Malak's lower jaw clean off....? Nah Revan was just being an asshole.

Indeed, a man denied his elven waifu, his jaw and an apprentice. To be Malak is to know true suffering.

Wow....Some of the custom-made lightsabers like UltraSabers or (my favourite) Genesis Custom Sabers are astoundingly $$$$$$$$$$$
Even a mid-range saber from UltraSabers tops out at 655.00 USD or 840.10 CAD (and that's just converting the Dollar) so adding Tax plus Shipping, plus Duty you're probably looking at well over 1000.00
I could craft my own for far cheaper......

Book of Boba Fett e1 Wasn’t too bad. Slow first episode, but so was the Mandalorian, and that turned out ok.
Good to see flashbacks and callbacks explaining how Fett didn’t spend a thousand years being digested in that creature’s stomach. The Tusken raider stuff was a bit meh, but not a big deal.
I like how he’s obviously spending big hours in the bacta tank to recuperate after a fight. The years have been hard on his body, and it shows.
Another instance where they probably should have released two (or even 3) episodes straight up. This seemed scarcely more than a primer.

Having two loyal Gamorreans seems like a great idea.
Kind of interesting seeing a larger city on Tatooine.

Well that was a fun trailer but, what's the show about again?
They have three narratives going but didn't have time to really set the pace or show the stakes.
We already know he gets the staff. The hook, "how'd he get the staff from the sandperson that just kicked his ass" is kind of a small stakes sell. Character development and background are good.
The current timeline stuff is the most interesting to me. The lady in charge of the Sanctuary seems clever. Filling his helmet with coin then sending assassins after him seems like a good ploy. Maybe in with the mayor or something?
Beyond seeing the generic interesting things and pretty effects I'm still not "invested" in the show. Curious where it goes but, after the first ep of only 7, that's an odd place to be pacing-wise.
The Mandalorian's first ep was slow but it established itself instantly. The first bar scene gave you exactly what you'd want from a Bounty Hunter show. This show on the other hand had to backtrack. It wasn't establishing itself, it was explaining, justifying it's own existence. It's like the show is on the defensive. It didn't set its own pace because they're using an already established character. And that set the tone.

I agree, the bacta tank is a good idea. Both as a flashback vehicle and to make him a bit more realistic.

"sandperson"? Woah....dude. I think that's their word. I...I don't think we get to use that word, do we? You're right about the differences between BoBF and Mandalorian first episodes. Similar pacing, but handled much better, although, like you say - BoBF had to justify its existence to people who knew who he was and what his - supposed - end had been. It did hamstring it quite a bit.
I didn't even notice that was a Wookiee pelt...that's fucking bleak.
The Gamorreans kicked arse. I can just see them getting iced in a later episode after becoming viewer and Fett favourites and sending Fett into a murderour rampage.

It also occurred to me, after a bit of green and some lovely winter ale, that I have no clue if they even have genders under those things. I'm assuming they'll look something like a humanoid version of their dogs? Tatooine seems to have lots of reptiles. (I dunno jack shit about Star Wars lore.)
I didn't even notice that was a Wookiee pelt...that's fucking bleak. Yeah. I didn't notice the first time 'round. I rewatched a short bit later with more focus. Bleak indeed. Seems like it'd make a fun 1v1 to watch, Trandoshan vs Wookie. The Gamorreans kicked arse. I can just see them getting iced in a later episode after becoming viewer and Fett favourites and sending Fett into a murderour rampage. Yup, that sucks but I'm thinking along the same lines. That or they aren't actually loyal but considerably more clever spies and it'll be a "twist". But I'm hoping that's the cynic in me and they are just there along for the fun ride.

I also like that we are getting to see their culture more closely. What I"ve always wondered is.....What do the Jawas look like under their hoods? I've always held to 3PO's line, "I can't abide those Jawas. Disgusting creatures" LOL And Luke stands toe to toe with one and just shews him away like a minor annoyance, "Go on, go on."

It also marks one of the few occasions where a sentient Star Wars species has treated another sentient species as an ‘animal’. The only other occasion I can remember is in the Mandalorian where Jabba’s cackling rodent was in a cage waiting to be cooked (and I’m just assuming sentience because it laughed at certain things in the OT…unless it’s laugh is just its communication, like a hyena or jackal).
Twi’leks, Wookiee and humans (and probably others) have been depicted as slaves, but I haven’t seen them used as ‘trophy fodder’.
