Whatevs, on a more "serious" note (  ) : if you don't feel like answer my "Aria is not a romance" or talk about "The women are ugly conspiracy theories" you can simply ignore me. We are endangering the quality of this thread's purpose.

But from what I have read in this thread, gay, lesbians and female people are not straight males so your opinion are not valid.
But then again, straight male that do not agree (like me) are in the minority (apparently) and thus not valid either.

I think she looks pretty good here. Her appearence on the OP's picture, on the other hand, is, well, bad. 

It's the unbalanced nose and the shadows around her eyes. When they were making Sara's head it seem that they went really close to the voice actress face, but it did not transfer that well. I guess just like some people are photogenic, some faces render better in 3D than others. Scott's VA's face looks like it was made more handsome by the process, like a retouched black-and-white photo. TBH, I am a bit spooked that it's actors' faces, I'd rather have something from the Character Creator, even at a loss of realism. Funny though that BioWARE markets so different from the Asian MMOs that always slap the pretty girl NPCs and PCs on their promo materials as early as possible. Bio is really tight with info/promos.

Not necessarily. BioWARE used to feature attractive females prominently on the box covers as well, like Bastilla and Wu or Ling, and I loved that they shared the promotional artwork a lot more back then. BnS, in additions to the wardrobe and boobs was a joy to play because of the amazing combat and landscape art. SWTOR has just married P2P with the P2W in not a good way (and so did WoW, so far as I can gather), and there are more players on the Revelation boards that are raving about the variety and challenge of the content than the outfits, etc, etc, etc. The myth of the Western games being a bonanza of the equality is imo just a myth. There are no free entertainment, and, tbh, paying the musician is the right thing to do.

But, whatever, I know you will just scream you are right because you are right, and everyone else is irrelevant.

Edit: If I'm speaking as a mod, it'll be bolded and the words <puts on mod hat> will be on there.  Otherwise you can assume I'm offering my opinions as a player and poster.

Yep, defintely getting flashbacks here.

--OP starts a thread complaining about female characters being ugly.
--Shows how bad a default player character is.
--Most of the rest disagree.
--Starts using terms like "SJW" and feminist for the culprits.
--Puts up a picture of an "ugly" companion.
--Someone sees that picture and tells the other person that character X is hot.
--Someone starts using blanket terms like "all straight men."
--Using the least flattering picture of the female character to "prove" their point.
--The majority of the thread disagrees with varying degrees of politeness.
--The point was made that most straight women don't care about looks of the male LIs as much.
--Having hot or not characters is "realistic."
--It's pointed out that the game isn't finished yet.
--A few complain that the female characters are ugly.
--Most of the rest disagree.
--Restart from the beginning.

We really are the new BSN. It almost feels like late 2013 and we're talking about Dragon Age. What's hilarous to me is that most of these kinds of threads for DA:I went away by mid-2015. By then players were more busy playing and critizing the actual game. I also find it amusing to see some of the same posters from the BioWare forums that were stating that "blondes are against the lore," and "only SJWs want more minority preset faces" going, "It's a sci-fi. We don't have to worry about 'realism.'"

Stay true, BSN. To each their own for the companions. However, whining about the default character's appearance only makes someone sound very immature. I can understand animation issues for sure. I know some of them tend to make it into the main game. I've seen a few myself, like that WTF jerky animation when Morrigan is coming down the stairs during the Ball (DA:I.) The facial animation here looks like it needs some work.

But complaining about a default face for the player character? C'mon, you can change that later. It sounds silly to complain too much about Sara. It's the same engine as DA:I so I'd assume that a lot of the features are going to look like that. YMMV but I have been able to make some very lovely characters in DA:I.

2)not really. They said this game has more romances then before. It's quite possible we'll get another female human full romance
