Reyes Vidal - No longer A Mystery (Official Thread)

Quarians all sounded like they had Russian accents.  Doesn't fit with Reyes.

Listened to him a bit more and I can sort of hear the Spanish accent now, but here's a twist: what if he's our new alien companion from Andromeda?

Definitely can't remember hearing anything that sounded like a central european of slavic descent.

If that is a quarian, than I presume he is without a helmet because the voice doesn't sound like he has one on.

Now I remember why I thought Reyes and Liam were the same person: Reyes is talking to you about a crime scene looking for evidence.
Liam was a former police officer.
Someone here pointed out the Reyes' voice sounded like Hawke's trying to have a Spanish Accent.
Maybe the british accent was about the Voice Actor, not the character.

Anyway: maybe I would like Reyes to be Liam because I really liked Reyes' voice.

Quarians having a variety of accents actually seemed more realistic to me.

Each ship in the flotilla may have a unique accent that developed over the three hundred years since the exile, or otherwise been derived them from the regional languages/dialects/accents on Rannoch their ancestors originally spoke. There may even be some type of creole being spoken, as Quarians started moving between ships to prevent inbreeding.

Of course, we'd not notice half of this, since we're hearing it filtered via translator.

The thing is  taht the people I've read that say that Reyes seems to have an spanish accent (I've listened carefully a few times, and I don't hear it and I'm spanish, but my ear for accents is as bad as my english ) said that it seems to be more latin-american (I think they said Colombian, maybe?), while Zevran is supposed to have a Spain-spanish accent (which I know some people say it's terible btw, but that most of the time quite works for me, again, awfull ear for accents it's the most likely explanation  )

Well, according to this video, Reyes seems to be the last name of Liam, since that's what the commentator calls the person Ryder is in contact with during the investigation scene... then again, it's IGN.
