And that show ''The Expanse'' is the best show to date in my opinion.

He sound so familiar, but I can't remember where I heard him

Anyone else go a few episodes in the Expanse wondering why Holden looked so naggingly familiar?

Took searching IMDB for me to realise Steven Strait was Warren Peace in Sky High and D'Leh in 10000 BC. Seen those movies several times, but I completely failed to recognise him without long hair.

So happy to have an old favorite voicing our Mystery Man!

As I said: A native English speaker trying to sound like a native Spanish speaker...

There are many variations on how a native Spanish speaker can sound in English, because there are many different Spanish accents to start from and many different English accents that one might try to imitate. I don't know where Reyes is supposed to be from, but if anything I'd say Boulton is basing his accent on actual Spanish from Spain (like Antonio Banderas for example) but even then there are plenty of ways that could sound.

I was born in Leeds and I speak Spanish with a strong Mexico City accent as that's where my wife is from. That would also fit with my observation that he sounds like he's trying for Spanish from Spain.

Does anybody else find it strange that Reyes is being voiced by a non-Spanish VA putting on a Spanish accent? Previous Spanish-speaking characters like James Vega had VA's who spoke Spanish fluently. 

Edit: Oh, as someone above mentioned, Nicholas Boulton was born in Gibraltar. I suppose it's possible he does speak Spanish then, though it's clear he's putting on the accent. 

If he wasn't only born in Gibraltar, but also grew up there, he could have an strong andalusian accent when speaking spanish (most people in Gibraltar seems to have it) so he could be using it for Reyes, and he should indeed sound something like Antonio Banderas in that case, since he's also andalusian, and like Zevran, who sounds also a little like that. Some people thought that Reyes sounded a bit like Zevran, so it would all make sense.

Now, I've an awful ear for accents so, even if I'm from Spain, the first 30 times I heard that part of the video I didn't hear the spanish accent at all, but I'm trying again, and in replay number 50 or so, I think I might got to hear a little of it, it could even be Spain-spanish accent, the way he says "we need hard evidence"... and that is as much as I can say I want to think though that even if the accent is there is not very recognizable, I mean, I can understand if I don't pick up other engish accents, but not even one from Spain? is my ear for accents that bad? oh, well, it probably is...

I'm intrigued by this Reyes. I hope he's a squadmate.
It's so close to release when will we know more about characters...

Oh man... if only I could have had Cullen whispering in my ear in DAI during missions....
