Yeah but what if you romance Reyes? the other guy who was going to be his romance if you romanced other person or no one is going to end up alone, cursing you from a corner saying "he took ma boyfriend" No because in that universe where you romance Reyes, the other dude never had a chance. In the universe where you romance someone else, then Reyes and the other dude will have the opportunity to develop something. I know that LI's hooking up with each other bothers some people but I really love it. I think it's a neat touch and a fun thing to see in different playthroughs. I'd really hate to see it go away. Don't make it go away then, just don't make that LI romance another LI, you are losing 2 options if you want those 2 character together, is not like Sera and Dagna, who would care about breaking Dagna's heart? In Inquisition the only romances who end up alone because they don't find another person is Cullen and Cassandra (Blackwall and Josephine broke up in Trespasser so it doesn't count) There are no different universes, if for example you romance Dorian, Iron Bull isn't going to stop being attracted to him, hell if you romance Iron Bull he is still attracted to everyone, he still talks with Sera about "that girl with huge tits in the last village". So... the whole banter of Blackwall with 80% of the characters, and how he speaks about Josephine when you ask him about your advisors, doesn't give you an idea maybe he is interested in her? Specially when Cole reads his mind? Or the 10 banters of Dorian x Iron Bull of bull saying that Dorian secretly desires him and that sort of things? Isabela always saying how pretty Fenris is? The only couples you had no idea were Sera x Dagna and Tali x Garrus, and still, Tali loves that movie Fleet and Flotilla, who's principal characters where a Quarian and a Turian. Based on Inquisition, that is going to mean 4 romances for male characters and 18209381290 romances for female characters, plus marriage and romancing the antagonist of the next game. |

So... the whole banter of Blackwall with 80% of the characters, and how he speaks about Josephine when you ask him about your advisors, doesn't give you an idea maybe he is interested in her? I'm not about to get into arguments about DA banters in a thread about a Mass Effect character, so this will be my last post on the subject. Suffice to say that nothing said above makes any sense to me. To get any of the other relationships to happen the Inquisitor must be committed to someone else, which is by design and precisely to stop the problem you're trying to claim exists. You will not see the actual relationship banters otherwise, which is why many people miss them. I think perhaps that you are muddling timings in your head due to multiple playthroughs. If you just mean hints about who fancies who, that stuff doesn't happen until after Skyhold so unless your Inquisitor is super-slow you should be well into the beginnings of a relationship by the time you get even those clues. Added to that, Blackwall and Josephine's romance goes nowhere beyond flowers because of their difference in station, and Bull and Isabela are inveterate flirts, so their banters would hardly be viewed as great evidence of anything anyway. |

Well, for one, it is and that's fine because this is the character and romance section of the forum. Two, we have reason to delve so heavily into this because what we have of Reyes is very attractive thus far and Three, his voice actor is a popular and successful pick in Bioware suggesting that Reyes isn't just some random side NPC we'll talk with for five minutes during a side quest. So, four, yes it is because of reasons. See above for said reasons. Mmmm, I'm still pretty sure it's BroRyder giving that command. It's definitely the same voice as BroRyder's voice actor just in a deeper more commanding tone. Pretty sure anyway because Liam and Cora don't run onto the deck until after that is said so it can't be Liam. There's some strong verbal cues, but no accent by any means. @beautesombre would you agree maybe? In any event, I do agree that that too was a very hot snippet of voice acting. BroRyder and Reyes getting it on with those two voices... Whew. Heart be still. |

Speculation is cool. What's annoying is going one thread to another and seeing everyone acting as if some things were already "nearly granted/confirmed/totally happening" based on vague or completly unverified tumblr 'leaks'. Jaal thread, this thread, "Confirmed romances" etc. Literally everyone decided already Jaal is bi, Reyes is totally a LI, Cora is stricly dickly etc based on no info.

Actually, we know he has his own writer (Courtney Woods), and that squadmates and crewmembers all have their own writer. Even if he's not of either group, it still indicates he could be a character we have a lot of interaction with. |

There's been speculation about what role Reyes might take in the game, independent of his sexuality. There's also been speculation that he might be the m/m option mentioned in the leak, and from there there's been talk about possible m/m options and about what form those might take. I don't think that anyone in the thread thinks that Reyes is guaranteed to be the leaked m/m romance option, but the natural course of conversation has lead to speculation in that direction, fuelled no doubt by the paucity of information that we have about the orientation of any LI combined with the fact that we know that all orientations have options. Heck, we don't even know if Cora will be bi... |

Honestly, it would be cool if Reyes was a hunky, cool investigator type. It would also be cool if he was a scientist and a little more on the nerdy side. I think a mix, though, would be pretty ideal: a hunky, rebellious scientist-turned-investigator who makes his own rules. Like those private detectives on shows that aren't happy with how things are being done so they take their own path, with him also happening to have that technical knowledge on his side. |

Being straight, physical attraction on my part wouldn't factor into the equation. I'd just like to see an interesting person and story, who I could create a Ryder to fall for. That's what happened for me with Dorian in DAI. I guess I'd favour a slim geeky sort but only because they would remind me of myself. I certainly wouldn't begrudge you guys someone such as the chap above.

Okay after a coffee and watching the trailer again, yes, Liam is saying "get us out of here" and you can hear his British accent a bit clearer than at the end of the trailer.
Also we need to remember trailers don't show the clips as they actually happen. What you see and hear are not in sync, thus the confusion.
